In april 2013 we dived in Oslob, Cebu, with the whale sharks. En avril 2013 nous avons eu l'opportunité, lors d'un séjour plongée à Dumaguete (ile de Négros), de faire une plongée à Oslob, au sud de l'ile de Cebu, dans une sorte de "zoo" sans barrière ou les requins baleines deviennent domestiques, puisque ils sont nourris par les pêcheurs. Cet endroit reste l'un des rares endroits dans le monde ou vous êtes sûrs d'approcher de près les plus gros poissons des océans, des géants débonnaires et inoffensifs, et ce, quelque soit votre niveau d'aquaticité!! Cela peut éveiller bien des consciences à la raréfaction des ressources dans nos océans....

Un week-end en mer pour 4 plongées, 2 à la Zélée et 2 au Geyser. Départ le vendredi en fin d'après-midi de Mamoudzou, arrivée à la Zélée le samedi matin pour une première plongée puis route vers le Geyser pour une seconde plongée. Nuit au mouillage au Geyser, puis 3ème plongée sur site. Reprise de la mer pour la Zélée et la dernière plongée. Puis retour de nuit vers Mayotte. Conditions météorologiques très bonnes, voire trop bonnes car il n'y avait pas de courant donc pas ou peu de pélagiques. Quelques rares requins trop loin pour les filmer, des raies aigles, des carangues et baracudas.

Until we bought our boat there we had no idea New Caledonia even existed. Most people we talk to from North American have never heard of it. It's officially a French Colony, or "special collectivity", but will likely become independent this year! Visiting it now is like visiting France in the tropics! Great cheese and bread and everyone speaks French. And they have epic Kiting and Scuba diving.

Seal Beach Yacht Club Saturday Sailors Series - 2019 - Race 1 January 5, 2019

We leave the bay of islands and sail to Great Barrier and put Town Fox on the piles so we can scrub the bottom. Then we leave for Great Mercury Island and explore the area. We are a family of six who are taking some time out of normal life to travel. We’ve pulled the kids from school and are home schooling while on the road and the water. We spend time aboard our 34ft sailing boat in NZ and have bought a motorhome in Europe so as to tour the other side of the world. We’re keeping our memories on video here and the kids write narration and play guitars so we have music to use in the videos.
