It’s our first time ever sailing. It’s our first time ever anchoring in winds over 40 mph. It is safe to say we are very much rookies at this. We decided to anchor outside Joint Base Langley-Eustis ( Langley AFB ) to wait out Zeta. Always better safe than sorry. Turned out to be a pretty cool choice when a pod of dolphins rolled through, all while fighter jets and helicopters flew overhead! Took a stab at the tiny bait first they were after with my dip net for fun since I’d hate to throw a cast net on a dolphin. No luck with the dip net, but not a bad way to wait out foul weather.

On this Ottmans run I got the following achievements: Conquer Rome, Moscow, Istanbul Assign Pasha to Paris Unify Islam and a few others Basic guide: War on Byzantium + Serbia, take Istanbul, Kosovo, etc Secure borders against QQ and Mamluks, clean up Anatolia and Crimea Use QQ against Mamluks, betray QQ as they get attack from the East Slowly push into Europe, once you have a core on the Adriatic Sea, you can claim on Papal States and claim Rome. I had to go through Poland/Lituania to get to Muscovy, but it only took one war each to get Moscow. Paris was trickier, but eventually I snaked in through the North Coast. Had to fight Spain 3x, Morocco, Yemen, Transoxiana, Gujarat and more to unify Islam

About the Boat ''SY Red Current'' is a Southerly 31 with the construction of GRP and rigged as a sloop with Aluminium Mast. Her LOA is 31 feet and she has a beam of 10 feet with a draft of 7 feet. She also has an electric swing keel which makes her draft very shallow and easy to enter in shallow water. Fully equipped for blue-water cruising with loads of extras installed for complete safety and comfort (solar power, water maker, cockpit enclosure) She has been lovingly maintained with no expense spared. Low engine hours, immaculate condition and ready for coastal cruising, off-grid living or circumnavigation. Commissioned in September 2019 in France. We are a married live-aboard couple who set off on our journey from the UK mid-October 2019 and arrived in Lanzarote Canaries Islands six weeks later. We aimed to circumnavigate before Covid-19 reared its ugly head! She has never been used for charter. We have regrettably decided to sell since we can no longer continue our journey as planned. An impressive list of options including, upgraded square top mainsail, code zero with bowsprit, upgraded 57hp Yanmar engines, upgraded 3 blade folding props, water maker, 3 electric heads, AIS, radar, forward scanner and much more. This is one of the most desirable cruising catamarans on the market today! The luxurious owner's version features the entire starboard hull dedicated to the private master stateroom. The island bed is large and low for easy access, and the large hull windows to enable views to check out the surroundings. Amidships, a desk and storage create a well-managed area. The head forward takes up a third of the hull, with a roomy shower compartment. All lines run back to the helm, making single-handing possible and double-handling an absolute breeze. Lagoon has made subtle changes to the rig on this version. The mast has been moved slightly aft, closer to the boat's centre of gravity, allowing for a more stable ride, and allowing for larger headsails and a smaller mainsail. This enables a self-tacking jib, which makes sailing easy. The U-shaped galley is split, with a three-burner propane stove, Large single bay sink, oven to starboard and front-loading refrigerator and 90ltr top-loading freezer. The large L-shaped settee, cushioned bench, and dining table provide plenty of room for guests, but when not entertaining, the dining table can be lowered to form a large lounge seating/bed area for relaxing, reading, or napping. Tons of storage in the settee, bench, and saloon floor allow you to stock up on favourite food and beverage items for cruising between islands or passages. She has 3 x Sunpower 330 watt rigid solar panels. For a total of 1 kW At the helm, enjoy 360 degrees of visibility and easy communication to the cockpit and saloon. There is a ladder at the helm with direct access to the coach roof. A sliding vision panel allows for good views of the sails as well as protection from the elements when closed. The cockpit has plenty of cosy lounging space and room for 6 at the table. Cockpit entry doors open wide to expand the living area. An efficient U-shape galley is just to starboard as you enter the salon. The location allows for ease of serving as well as socialising with guests. The L-shaped dinette has comfortable, oversize cushions with an extra bench and storage. To port, are two beautiful en-suite cabins. The forward cabin has a 3/4 island bed and a wet head. The aft cabin has a full island-style bed and separate shower. Panoramic windows in the salon allow you to capture fantastic views. There is plenty of storage beneath the L-shaped couch in the salon. With a U-shaped galley, there is plenty of counter space for preparing meals and sundowners. The cockpit is spacious for dining, relaxing or catching some sun. The raised helm station allows for tremendous visibility yet keeps you connected to the cockpit. Whether a couple or a family, The package is complete and ready to sail away for faraway ports!

Hey Gang! This is the final installment in the 3 part series of our Solar Installation on Reverie. We went with a combination of Full River AGM Batteries and Bluetti Lithium Power Generator. This was an important part of our sailboat restoration. On this episode we are installing our new Full River Battery Bank. We went with Full River 12V 105AH Batteries. We installed a set of 4 batteries in parallel that provide us with 420AH at 12V. Based on Don Casey's books he recommends treating your Lead Acid batteries as if they were Lithium. So our plan is to use our new battery bank planning on discharge of 50% - 80%. If were to do this at 80% discharge consistently, we would only lose about 8-9% of the overall battery life over time. For the price of the batteries, we can live with that. Now that said, our house bank is there for our lighting, electronics, pumps, cooktop and supporting an inverter for our computers and other small draw equipment. So with solar constantly charging the bank, I think it would hard for us to discharge more than 50% on a regular basis. That said, we would go as far as 80% as needed. Our refrigerator for Reverie is a Dometic CFX Dual Zone. This fridge runs on both 120V AC and 12V DC. It is extremely efficient. We will be using a Bluetti Power Station which is equivalent of two Lithium Batteries stuck in a suitcase. It has a built in MPPT Controller and a 1000W Inverter built in. In our testing we can run the Dometic Fridge from this unit for 4 days straight without recharging the unit. Since the Bluetti can be charged from Solar this is why we split one of the panels at the breaker so we can route power to the Bluetti to recharge. We repurpose the old batteries to serve as our engine startup batteries. While it is overkill to have two batteries for our little Yanmar engine it is nice to have the redundancy for now. When these old batteries die we will go back to a single. This is a neat transformation as we use the space where there were 2 batteries to fit 4 of our new Full River batteries. We feel you will find this useful.
