A few challenges, but that comes with the territory. We were thrilled with our choice of weather windows, and we made better time than we anticipated.

In real time 26 May 2020, we are currently in Mooloolaba and we couldn't help but share this beautiful sunset we had at Mooloolaba Marina. Mooloolaba is on the sunshine coast and is a beautiful beach front town! In this little clip you can also see Dannii packing away our dock lines so that we don't trip on them when walking around the deck.

Filmed on February 20, 2020 as part of the Herreshoff Marine Museum Lecture Series Hold Fast is a young adult, historical novel in the vein of Kidnapped. Based on a true story, it combines brutal storytelling and a poignant sense of humor. It follows the lives of two Italian boys pressed into service on the HMS Deptford in 1762 while on a family-trading voyage with their uncle. The story chronicles their lives on board as well as the discovery of longitude and the relentless shelling of Fort Morro during the Battle of Havana. In the end, the main character develops deep New England roots and a connection to Bristol. The authors will discuss the process of writing collaboratively, doing historical research, and transforming a paragraph from an 1886 family chronicle into an adventure story for young readers. Marshall Highet is a professor and writer. Her YA sci-fi novel Spare Parts was published in 2014. Spare Parts also has an educational bent and Marshall has worked in tandem with middle school, high school, and college educators to create a syllabus that pairs with the book. She lives in Pittsburgh with her family and two rescue dogs. Bird Jones is a faculty Emerita from Elon University. She has written extensively for academic journals as well as publishing an oral history of a small town in Maine. Her teaching and scholarship has taken her to far-flung parts of the world. She is an avid sailor and spends as much time as possible with her husband on their boat in Newport.

Sailing School by Yachting in Croatia.com Yachting in Croatia Sailing Team performed as a Sailing School at the Vis regatta 2020. on the sailboat MORE 55 and won 5th place in the group. The Viška regatta is one of the most popular and most massive regattas in Croatia. Each year program is to Sail from Split to Vis, then a technical regatta is being sailed in the Port of Vis and the last day is being sailed from Vis to Split. This year, due to the Corona virus, the sailing route was changed, so program was: sailing from Split to Starigrad on Hvar island and back. It was very interesting as every year to sail in One Design class More 55 because it is a real sailing. So we had Match race all the time. As we are still preparing Seagull for the season and we can see snow on the mountains we decide to explore Scotland by car. We are thrilled at the chance to drive the the snow covered highlands and find a nice place for lunch. We explore the Glen Lee a steel-hulled three-masted barque, built as a cargo ship at Port Glasgow. Its an interesting ship and you can eat lunch in the lower levels of the ship. On a very wet and rainy day we visit the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel. Seagull has too deep a keel to transit the canal in this part of Scotland, so it was a must by car to see this magnificent piece of engineering. Finally, we test our new electric outboard and we are thrilled by our new purchase. By the end of the episode we are setting sail once more. Depois de reiterar por muitos anos que nunca teria um animal na minha casa, uma cadela pariu na porta da minha residência e fui "obrigado" a cuidar da mãe e de dois filhores. Não gostava desse bicho. Mas, a partir do sétimo mês de idade notei que o macho (o THOR) era muito apegado comigo. Então comecei a leva-lo diariamente nas minhas caminhadas. Criou-se, entre nós, uma amizade muito bonita e elogiada por pessoas amantes dos pets. Com o tempo, de forma natural e impeceptível, o cão passou a me obedecer em muita coisa, Inclisive não atravessandoa rua sem minha ordem. No mês que completei 66 anos, e o Thor 2,5 anos, por insistênica de amigos e principalmente da minha filha, comprei minha primeira bicicleta da vida. Quando fui pedalar a primeira vez meu corção partiu ao deixar meu amigo. Tentei coloco-lo no guidão, mas ele é grande e eu muito barbeiro. Então encostei a bike e não andei enquanto não comprei um reboque para puxá-lo. Como sou aventureiro por natureza, resolvi criar um desafio: sair de Morrinhos, GO, e chegar até Paraty, RJ, onde mora minha filha.
