Ep 12 E propulsion test and a visit to the Kelpies

As we are still preparing Seagull for the season and we can see snow on the mountains we decide to explore Scotland by car. We are thrilled at the chance to drive the the snow covered highlands and find a nice place for lunch. We explore the Glen Lee a steel-hulled three-masted barque, built as a cargo ship at Port Glasgow. Its an interesting ship and you can eat lunch in the lower levels of the ship. On a very wet and rainy day we visit the Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel. Seagull has too deep a keel to transit the canal in this part of Scotland, so it was a must by car to see this magnificent piece of engineering. Finally, we test our new electric outboard and we are thrilled by our new purchase. By the end of the episode we are setting sail once more.
