As we strive to push the experience of sailing to another level, this is what's happening behind the scene. Right before the start of the charter season our crew has finished the 3-days education in order to provide a maximum to our guest. We sailed toward amazing Blue Lagoon on the island of Veli Drvenik (aka Krknjaši) with Lagoon 620 OPAL and Lagoon 620 ADRIATIC TIGER with the whole crew from our luxury crewed catamarans. Professional sommelier, chef and silverservice instructors gave their best; sommelier explained in-detail about the wines, types and food-pairing, chef made his new menu (meat, fish & vege) and silverservice host taught our stewardess how to prepare the table, approach to guests and many more modern tips. This week we take a HUGE step in our lives. We have put in an offer on a house. This one seems to be in much better shape than the last one we liked. Deb and I are excited but trying not to get our hopes up as a lot can change as you go through the process. We took our first step in this video, which was to check the water. We rented a boat and brought out depth sounding sticks. We calibrated the rental boats depth sounder and then went about our tasks or mapping out the depths to the home. Checking depth is a critical step for us as we need to know if the water will work for our big ole' girl. In this case, it seems to work very well in almost all situations. There are going to be some 20-40 days a year where the low tide will not allow us passage out of the canal. But mid-tide to high tide year-round on all days works fine for us. We also decide to go down to the everglades and explore the marshes, grass flats, and mangroves. We see gators, and the girls get to hold one. It was a refreshing experience for one of our first homeschooling outings. The girls got to learn about geography, conservation, and a bit about nature/animals. Chasity wrote a paper on it this week after the trip, so it seemed like a worthwhile outing for sure. This week has seen either very light winds or thunder and storms, so I`ve only been sailing a couple of times - but one of them was a `high speed` race. I have, however, used the time to make a cockpit table and binocular holder as well as been out walking and having my evening swim (with the fishes).

Title: FAWS1EP3 - New Carpet and family sail to Fårösund This is the first video in a serie about our sail from the south of Gotland to Stockholm archipelago and back again. The sailing in our home water the Baltic Sea is part of our preparation to sail to the Mediterranean Sea. Anders has been at the sea most of his life and sailed for the Swedish national dingy sailing team as a young man. Gitte has also grown up with boat and spent every summer sailing with her father as a teenager but made a pause of about 15 years without sailing as an adult, had just begun to pick-up the interest before she meet Anders a 4 years ago. Onboard we also have our cat Litza a 3 year old Devon Rex we call her the cattain because cats always decide over their humans. Kayak has been a common interest for Gitte, Erik and Anna since 2013 and Anna also compete at national level. Fridá af Wisby is a Wauquiez 47 pilot saloon that we Gitte and Anders bought in UK in 2019 and that we have sailed to Gotland and in season 1 2020 we sail in the Baltic Sea. In this video we put in a new carpet in the saloon so the cat Litza won't slide on the floor and then we sail together with the teenagers Erik and Anna to Fårösund in the northern end of Gotland from Vändburg in the south. Normally I will not publish this frequently but I have a backlog from the summer and happens to have plenty of time for editing right now. You can expect about 1-2 videos per month.

Her LOA is 19.3m and she has a beam of 4.6m with a draft of 2.98m She weighs 33t and she can cruise at 7 kts with the engine and 8-10 kts on sail depending on the wind. She is fairly comfortable with 15 to 20 kts of wind. Freshwater capacity to last over 2 weeks and a fuel range of 13 days steaming. About the Boat ''SY Red Current'' is a Southerly 31 with the construction of GRP and rigged as a sloop with Aluminium Mast. Her LOA is 31 feet and she has a beam of 10 feet with a draft of 7 feet. She also has an electric swing keel which makes her draft very shallow and easy to enter in shallow water. We hiked up to Franchthi Cave and explored inside. Frankhthi Cave is an archaeological site overlooking Kiladha Bay, in the Argolic Gulf, opposite the village of Kiladha in southeastern Argolis, Greece. then we went out for dinner at To Mouragio and had an unexpected firework show on the walk home.
