In this episode we arrive in Chicago. There is much to see, the city is amazing. We walked the Navy pier and had some thrills there. We paid a visit to the Chicago Board of Trade building and discovered a secret Vault in the basement. Chicago is bigger then we thought. It was a lot of fun in the summer.

Vlog#14 We sail into Morro Bay, and adventure around the town. We visited the Morro Bay skateboard museum, which has the first boards ever made starting in the 1930s to present day. We then packed a lunch and went for a dinghy ride through the bay. Trav had the best time ever, running through what looked like sand dunes like the most excited child I've ever seen! I lost him so many times because he was running so excitedly down through the hills and back. We were so busy watching all the rays and fish in the dinghy that we didn't realize how shallow the water got and Trav ran us aground and had to walk through the water pulling the dinghy. LOL. We also had a such good laugh watching all the witches go by on paddle boards. This was such a beautiful place with so much wildlife! --------------------------------- Instagram- @Sailingdecorum --------------------------------- --------------------------------- *WHO ARE WE?* •We are a Canadian couple, Travis and Jessica. Sailing Solo In Norfolk - Max Prop - Great Bridge Free Dock - Explore With Perseverance (Episode 22)
In this episode on Explore with Perseverance Josh sails solo from the Phoebus anchorage on the north side of Norfolk to the Great Bridge Free Dock on the south side of Norfolk. When Josh thinks something is wrapped around the prop or keep he stops at the Tidewater marina so a diver an go check it out. While down there the diver also changed our pitch bolt from "18 degrees" to "20 degrees". He also has a quick tip for moving and tightening the bolt for the alternator belt. Something we recently learned... If you have even a little rust where you V belt rests it will tare it up which makes our engine full of rubber dust. We would love to get a high output alternator with a serpentine belt to avoid this problem in the first place. These serpentine belts are also a lot easier to replace than our V belt. If you have any questions please let us know in the comments below! We should do a video on this but our 20 "degrees" of pitch on the prop means it should move the boat 20 inches through the water with one revolution of the propeller.

Meeting people on Rivera beach west palm beach
We came down to St. Vincent to meet grandma and grandpa and they're finally here! After reuniting we decided to head south along the Grenadines to see what those islands had to offer. Our first stop was Bequia. It is a beautiful island towards the south of the main island of St Vincent. We really enjoyed walking in the towns, enjoyed the views and we also got to meet turtles! After having lunch at a place right by the marina we spent the evening on the beach and the following day we decided to head further down to our next stop - Tobago Cays. After a great day of sailing we arrived at the blue waters of Tobago Cays! We spent the rest of the day at the beaches over there. The kids had a lot of fun. The small islands are surrounded by a barrier reef and the waters were super shallow. We ended the day with an awesome BBQ night. It's been such a wonderful experience exploring all these places. Always so cool to see the different cultures and meet great people! Thank you for watching. Stay tuned for next episode! Enjoyed the video? Austin spends the day doing a bunch of little jobs on the boat. He polishes the propellor. We pack up the boat and move into an apartment so its easier to get the boat ready to sell without us living on it. Bayly reminisces on the things we have collected on the boat along the way around Europe. We arrive in our apartment and overload it with all our boat stuff. Bayly picks up groceries and struggles to find a place to fit it all in the mini fridge. Apartment tour. Lenny is happy to have a house that doesn't move. Organizing. Bayly makes fajitas and then realizes she forgot the wraps for it. Cozy move night in bed. Austin does an il change on the boat engine. Bayly attempts fajitas on night number 2 now that she has wraps.
M/Y Lee, designed by Stefano Vafiadis with interiors by TehilaBracha Magyar Shelef, preserves the key characteristics of the DOM line. It is ideal for trans-oceanic cruises and boasts a shallow draught (2.10 m - 7 ft.) for navigation in shallow waters. The spacious interior, facilitated by an 8.70 m (29 ft.) beam, offers rare living spaces for a yacht of its size. The main deck layout, designed to promote seamless indoor-outdoor flow, enhances a convivial atmosphere.

We fancy ourselves travelers, not tourist. We try to stay off the beaten path and discover the places around us in a less organized fashion. That said, the Exumas is undeniably a tourist destination with specific attractions on the circuit. While we are here, we decided to see which ones are worth the hype and which ones we could do without. We enjoyed visiting a few caves requiring a settled sea state and slack tide. We snorkeled on a reef the size of a fish bowl, but it was so beautiful and filled with marine life that it's definitely on the "don't miss" list. One of the most popular attractions in the Exumas is the swimming pigs, and this is one we could de without. And of course a visit to the Exumas wouldn't be complete without sundowners and a stroll on at least one sand bar. The central Exumas continues to impress. https://sailingroam.com/ ☝More about us, our adventures, and how we do all this on our website.
