Drake and Sofia Sweet, a brother and sister team, love the ocean. They moved to Florida at the age of 3 and have been water babies ever since. Growing up on the ocean and seeing such an increase in pollution over the last few decades has caused them much concern. While out spearfishing and sailing they began to regularly see balloons, cans, water bottles, food wrappers, plastics and other materials toxic to sea life and the ocean ecosystem. They decided they needed to help the ocean and its creatures in some way, and so Sibling Company was born. Each year, Sibling will select a non-profit group dedicated to maintaining and safeguarding the world’s oceans. Through 2019, a percentage of all profits from Sibling Co. purchases will go toward the Ocean Clean Up—the largest cleanup project in history, aiming to remove trillions of pieces of plastic waste from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. Until Independence in 1980 Vanuatu was an Anglo-French colony known as The New Hebrides. We enter the capital, Port Vila on Efate Island, to complete Bio-Security and finalise all the entry formalities into the country. Whilst there we had to wait for sail material, and new gearbox components from New Zealand. We see the devestation caused by Cyclone Pam in 2015, several sunken vessels litter the harbour. We experience Mama's Market, which is open around the clock with women from all over the country selling fruit and veg. There was a parade through the streets to protest about ethnic tension resulting in a killing and violence. A Tannese man was murdered by a group of men from Ambrym. A couple of weeks later a ceremony was held which saw the Ambrym Chiefs and community give a plot of land and VT100,000. They also presented a token of apology and forgiveness with gifts of pigs and food. We spent time at two nearby museums. Suzanne Bastion Foundation, featuring Patrice Cuto's 'Maps Blong Vanuatu'.We met the artist Aloi Pilioko an 85 year old man with yellow hair, the same colour as much of his art. He and Nicolai Michootouchkine both celebrated artists who have exhibited their work worldwide. We attended a spectacular Fire Show at Mele Bay. Every Friday night the youth from Wan Smol Bag Theatre, show off their talent. The group started in 2011, previously unemployed they grow and develop their skills.They were trained by a volunteer English circus performer Mr Rik Hinton.

Four boats raced, pursuit start, about nine nautical mile race. 15 to 25 knot winds, gusts over 30, had an awesome crew and a really great time on the bay!

We were a little sad to leave Las Vegas behind us because we had a lot of fun there. But on the other hand, we were happy to get back into nature. So the next stop was The Grand Canyon, a must-see. We decided to go to the North Rim where it's calmer and quieter. It was truly breathtaking, enormous and the views were spectacular. And next up was Monument Valley, definitely another beautiful wonder on our bucket list. In monument valley, we felt as if we were wandering in an old western movie. It was an amazing day. We also visited a dam and saw fossils of dinosaur paws, it was quite a surprise. It’s not something you see every day. Have fun watching our video LIKE and Thumbs up when you like this video. Pour une première fois, nous avons décidé d’arrêter en Dominique pour explorer ce petit paradis. Nous nous sommes d’abord arrêter à la capitale Roseau au sud, puis à Portsmouth au nord. Nous n’avons pas été déçu et y reviendrons assurément.

I've been thinking about boat storage for a while now. Mochyn Du is easy, she packs up on her trailer and then I can get her in my garden as 2 people can easily side walk her through my gate! She's also small enough to not get in the way too much. Lulu is a different matter though and I need to find a place for her for the winter. I can leave her on the mooring, but the lake can get rough over the winter, I also need extra and expensive insurance and she's going to be in a state when I come back in March no doubt. I could also leave her at one of the local places, however they don't allow you to work on boats and they're just too far away to do a bit of work. Driving 1h 40m for a whole day's sailing is fine, but to do 30 mins of fibreglassing is another matter!! So I think i've found a place close to home that could just fit the bill!
