It’s been several months now, working in this area, to try and get the dredge up the river to multiple locations and testing for the best place to sign leases. We left for a weeklong expedition up the river and tested multiple locations and decided on two fantastic spots where we averaged about 10 g for the day of working. We estimate at these locations we can probably put about three dredges on each location, giving us the availability to get at least an ounce per day, per site, which is fantastic. In this video, we continue our sailing circumnavigation of Taha'a, by snorkeling in a coral garden, then heading to Motu Moute where we meet Bernardo at the tiny island resort named La Pirogue Api. During this, our website onfilandtime.com went down, but Bernardo happens to be a Wordpress guru, and helped us out while making us feel at home on land for an afternoon. After returning to the Apu Bay, we again join our new French Polynesian family for a road tour around Taha'a. We visit a rum distillery, and then a vanilla farm at La Valee de la Vanille. Finally, the family comes aboard Amanecer for a drink and a swim and get a brief taste of the boat life. Thanks for watching! Our winter season in the Bahamas comes to a close. Just a bit more fishing and diving and then we set sail on the 600 mile passage north to Beaufort North Carolina. We have a mixture of strong winds with big seas, and later no wind at all before the wind fills in a bit and carries us back to the U.S.

A couple of last minute adventures with and without the kids! We even take the dogs on their first trip! The weather has been affecting our ability to finish the truck, but we don't want to put off having family fun because of a few missing creature comforts.

Diving shallow waters has its advantages. Shallow water allows more light and brighter colors. The Pimlico Cays in the Exumas are shallow and rocky with plenty of healthy coral, beautiful reef fish and angelfish with attitude. We'll call this beautiful, big, dark angelfish, Todd. Todd was up for the chase. He didn't hide like the other fish, but he did come back to check us out several times. This shallow water dive was beautiful and fun. Every time we tried to cut back the video we found something else we wanted to share. The patreon version has about 5 more minutes of these wondrous coral heads, teaming with life. How many different species do you see on these scattered little coral heads. We somewhat overpaid for 10' of anchor chain to compliment the rode on Imp's anchor. What a game-changer. We don't need to worry about her drifting while we dive any more, even with the little collapsible anchor we use. We discover the joy of cruising Mist, and introducing newcomers to sailing. We were invited to join the Garmin corporate day out and host some of their employees onboard Mist. The aim of the day was to allow members of their many staff from many departments, to sample our wonderful world of sailing. After collecting our crew from Ocean Village, Southampton (UK) we set off to The Solent, in search of wind. Eventually finding some we hoisted the headsail for a short sail, before swapping crew after lunch. The next batch of intrepid newbies got a better introduction, with more than 20 knots of wind, and they revelled in the challenge. Um filme que retrata as histórias e memórias por trás do único Swan 48 ainda navegável no Brasil. Projetado pela Sparkman & Stephens, seu casco é o n.º 35/46 do modelo Swan 48, um dos projetos mais conceituados da prestigiada Nautor Swan. As navegações a bordo do Morgazek se iniciaram com o Capitão Daniel Proffit e sua família em 1977, que, após 3 anos viajando ao redor do mundo, se apaixonou pelo Brasil. Foram anos incríveis sob o comando da família Proffit, até que chegou o momento de enraizar a família em Goiânia, onde fundaram um haras com o mesmo nome e passaram os cuidados do Morgazek para Gilberto Pires. Foram anos de Gilberto no comando do Morgazek, até que chegou o momento do Comandante Mauro Perez ter a honra de ser o novo curador. Entre os 20 anos de história, Perez acumulou algumas aventuras: três Refenos, em 1999, 2001 e 2003, e quatro Semanas de Vela, sendo que na edição de SIVI 35º conquistou a Fita Azul na Regata Alcatrazes por Boreste e 1º lugar acumulado no Bico de Proa. Em 2010, chegou a vez do Comandante João Francisco Borges assumir a Égua do Mar. Em 2020, Michele D’Ippolito e Eduardo Camara Lopes começaram a construir suas memórias a bordo do Morgazek, e não demorou muito para a primeira conquista chegar. Foram medalhistas de prata na regata Toque-Toque por Boreste da SIVI 48. De 2022 a 2023, o barco conquistou 2º e 3º lugar na Toque-Toque por Boreste e 3º lugar na classe Clássicos B, além de 2º lugar na Copa Mitsubishi. Morgazek é o homenageado da SIVI 51 e irá competir na classe Clássicos, sob o comando do comandante Michele D’Ippolito, com o apoio de seus sócios Lucien Belmonte, Maurício Salerno e Fernando Câmara Lopes.
