How to adjust the length of the Rescue Sling so that the sling and the MOB Lifesaver are the same length and the casualty is brought out horizontally. Different lifejakcets have different lengths of lifting beckets and so the Rescue Sling length needs to be adjusted to match that of the MOB Lifesaver attached to the lifting becket.

It's a great insight into the impact that fishing has on our oceans and the work thats been done by a handful of people to change how fishermen think about sustainability. Derek is passionate about protecting our oceans for future generations and has accrued decades of experience working on the management of marine mammal conservation with commercial fisheries in Australia, the sub-Antarctic, Samoa and Fiji. Derek is a founding member of the Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) Marine Mammal Working Group and has worked with the Forum Fisheries Agency (FFA; through the DevFish Project), the Alaskan Longline Fishermen’s Association (ALFA) and World Wildlife Fund (WWF) on related projects in the western central Pacific Ocean and Bering Sea. The Quoile regatta kicked off the summer sailing scene on Strangford Lough with a great day out for all the competitors. The sun broke through the cloud to complement the the 12 to 20 knot westerly that pushed the competitors around around the course. As per the rest of the season to date the IRC1 fleet was sparsely with only two boat hitting the start line. It did not stop the Redline Racing crew of "Going to Red" from push their new J109 hard from start to finish. After winning the start they pushed the boat hard to stretch out a big lead over Lion from East Down Yacht club. This was the last hit out on the lock for the Redline Racing Crew before delivering the boat up to Bangor for the upcoming Bangor Town Regatta. Hopefully the rest of the Strangford lough IRC1 fleet gets into gear shortly and we see some larger numbers on the start line for the rest of the Regatta's We hope you enjoyed the crews eye view of the 2022 Quoile regatta, the team at bottom up boats love giving everyone who dreams of taking up sailing both the skills and inspirations to jump on board and give it a go. We sail from our anchorage at Pelican Bay in Port Charlotte Harbor to Gulfport / Pass a Grill Channel to anchor in Boca Ciaga Bay Florida. We continue exploring St Pierre with a visit to the Rhum distillery where we see rhum production in full operation and get to taste rhum made from sugar canes that has grown on volcanic soil. Community is a very important part of the liveaboard cruising lifestyle. As sailors we come together to help one another, to celebrate special occasions, to have social activities together. The beauty of this is that one can participate as much or as little as they feel comfortable with. When they feel like being part of the group, people are welcome. When they want to be alone or do their own thing, no judgement is passed. In our humble opinion, it is the heart and soul of this way of life. We find it quite appealing. And it renews our faith in humanity. In our new style of living it is common to help other people. When somebody needs an extra hand, a piece of material, a tool or a tow. We are here for each other. It is good way of living, it feels great. Vikings Going South lost their propeller and we help them manoever their boat. Garfield also lost their propeller, so along with cruisers, we help them get moored up. Leontien sews up some damaged canvas and new zippers. With a group of cruisers, We take a 6km walk to a little oasis in the dessert. The oasis is a mini zoo with many kinds of birds, fish and turtles. A really beautiful place to visit. Hans and Renée from Gravity are celebrating 50 years together. We bake a cheesecake and waveguide baked a proper Dutch apple pie. Make My Days bottom is bit dirty and needs to be cleaned. We borrowed a deck snorkel from waveguide. This makes life so much easier and is a lot of fun. We are saying goodbye/ until the next time to new friends Peter from Surprise has been in Porto Santo for 1,5 years. He fell of his bicycle here and was hurt quite badly. Almost everybody in Porto Santo knows him as the Flying Dutchman. People come and people go. A whole new group of Dutch sailors came in. At the same time Waveguide is leaving. Time for them to head to the Canaries to meet up with their son. After 4 months being neighbors, we became friends with them. We had a nice farewell party for them. We will meet again. Adesso naturalmente farò tre mani di resina epossidica poi due mani di primer epossidico e due mani di antivegetativa. Infine prenderò in esame il bulbo.. After years of being career focused, we decided it was time to shake things up and sought a lifestyle that would provide us with new experiences, humble us, allow us to visit remote locations, and experience new cultures. In 2021, we traded our regular suburban lifestyle for a nomadic one and moved aboard our sailboat, Te Tāiko, a Chico 40. After three years sailing in New Zealand and preparing for Category 1 (regulations for New Zealand registered vessels planning to sail offshore), we set sail from New Zealand to Fiji on the 23 May 2024. This would be Vicki and Tāiko's first ocean passage and Adam's third. We have since sailed to Vanuatu and New Caledonia, where we will be during the cyclone season. We fund our lifestyle by working part time. This sometimes involves returning to New Zealand to help top up the bank account. The other avenue is through our content creation where we document our journey though YouTube videos and our our social media accounts and website. In this one we sail from Capri to Salerno along the Amalfi Coast and then on to Palinuro... This part of Italian coastline in the Mediterranean is so beautiful😍 We're stuck with no wind again, though we do manage to get the engine off for a while. Our outboard for the dinghy stops working too, but it keeps getting sunnier and we see the most amazing sunset so alls good🌅 Hope you enjoyed the video! With no motor and dead rigging, the only option to move the boat is to tow it all the way into Baltimore where the project will be concluded. Come along on a wild ride as Windpuff gets towed by Herby’s dad’s boat. Along the way, Herby works on the bulwarks and deals with a free spinning propeller shaft, as well as copious amounts of water that splashes onto the deck but can’t currently drain away. Let me know in the comments section your ideas for a good cabin layout that will sleep four people as well as be good for bluewater cruising. Lastly, Herby gets a preview of how the transom extension performs as Windpuff is towed along at hull speed, pushing the design to its theoretical limit and showcasing how the water moves over it at speed.
