Sorry to the Mirror fans out there, but I also decide to bring all Mochyn Du's rigging home with me. I'm so busy getting to grips with Lulu that I think Mochyn Du's role until the end of the season is as a tender. She'll be back though and the adventures won't stop!

Peter McWhinnie’s JPK 1080 In Theory (USA) has won IRC Two by just under two hours from J/133 Vamoose (USA) skippered by Bob Manchester. Andy Middleton’s First 47.7 EH01 (GBR) was third. “It feels fantastic, it has been great to get around the course with a wonderful crew, I can’t thank them enough. It is an all-round crew we all drive and trim and the work has been outstanding,” commented In Theory’s Peter McWhinnie. “It was a relief to get through the last beat as the wind got a little fluky and make the finish which was a very happy moment. One of the highlights of this race has been the close competition from other boats, we were always mixing it up with Vamoose, J Bella and EH01. There were a lot of great moments and a lot of hard sailing; it was pretty full on. The run down to Nevis from Barbuda on the first night was really beautiful. During breakfast on departure day, we encountered a 5.7 magnitude earthquake before we set sail to the following destinations: Nanny Cay Norman Island Jost Van Dyke - Foxy's at Great Harbour Jost Van Dyke - Foxy's Taboo Peter Island Marina Cay Virgin Gorda - The Bitter End Virgin Gorda - Spanish Town We had several really cool adventures and experiences along the way as well such as a "fancy dress" comedy night were we had our own sailors share stories and experiences to make for an unforgettable night to be had by all! We also had the opportunity to visit da Bubbles Pool on Marina Cay, the Baths on Virgin Gorda, Foxy's on Jost Van Dyke, the Soggy Dollar Bar on Jost Van Dyke, Peg Legs on Tortola, Willy T's on Norman Island and an epic raft up at The Bitter End - Virgin Gorda where we had a belly flop competition among several other experiences! Nous atteignons notre dernière escale avant la transat : Mindelo sur l'île de São Vincente. C'est une ville et un port très animés, où tous les voiliers en partance pour la transat se retrouvent au floating-bar et échangent leurs bons plans et impressions. C'est aussi le dernier avitaillement et le dernier préparatifs. Nous y passons un Noël tranquille, au téléphone avec la famille, et une soirée de réveillon de feu avec les copains bateaux ! Malheureusement, la réputation peu sûre de Mindelo se confirmera cette nuit là : un bateau de jeunes français s'est fait volé tout son matos électronique et de l'argent : plus de 6000€ de perte ... le moral est dans les baskets et surtout un sentiment d'injustice, en particulier chez les autres bateaux de jeunes qui ont fait de gros sacrifices pour monter leur projet. We set out to cross the Red Sea from north to south knowing this stretch of water carries real risk. Active pirate alerts were being reported as we approached the high-risk zone near Yemen — and right in the middle of it all, we experienced the best fishing of our entire voyage. Fish after fish hit our lines while tension quietly built on the horizon. Mid-crossing, a piracy distress signal came through directly along our heading. Excitement and uncertainty collided as we pushed south, balancing vigilance with the unbelievable abundance around us. This passage was a reminder of how unpredictable life at sea can be — equal parts adrenaline, beauty, and raw adventure.
