It started when spotted a snake eel beneath us and dove down to get a photo, but my attention was immediately captured by a stunning nudibranch. As I looked closer, I realized there wasn't just one, but hundreds of them in a bizarre migration across the sandy seafloor and even through the water column. The ones that had settled were already mating. As we watched, Brown found a slug performing a mesmerizing, gyrating dance—a species I had only seen once before in all my years of diving. Then, I found a juvenile frogfish no bigger than my pinky nail. It was then we realized something truly special was happening. The water was filled with a cloud of tiny, shimmering fish, adding to the otherworldly spectacle. As the day drew to a close, the mating frenzy intensified. After laying their eggs, the nudibranchs began to burrow into the sand, seeking a safe haven for the night. It was a beautiful and humbling glimpse into the rhythms of the ocean and a powerful reminder to always keep a watchful eye. In two years of exploring French Polynesia, we had never seen any of these creatures—a fact that speaks to just how truly special and rare this encounter was for us.

Russian blini. Traditional Russian dish, especially eaten during the Maslenitsa (spring festival in Russia). Every family has their own recipe for Russian pancakes (blini). I want to share my family recipe for pancakes which always come out great. (link for video recipe in comments) There are only 3 ingredients: flour, milk, and eggs - A very simple recipe and quite difficult to mess up. There’s no reason you shouldn’t treat yourself with blinis. You can eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and never get tired of them. The possibilities are endless. Fill Russian pancakes with sweet or savory fillings and enjoy:) they’re so tasty and versatile they absolutely need to be shared with the world! Sweet and Savoury Fillings for Blini * fried minced meat with onion * cheese * ham * fried mushrooms * caviar * smoked salmon and serve with sour cream or cream cheese. Perhaps you have a sweet tooth that needs to be satisfied? Try out any (or all) of the following: * your favorite jams, * chocolate cream or Nutella * condensed milk * berries * honey * sweetened cottage cheese with raisins * fried apples and cinnamon * or any other sweet. How to do my mom's easy garlic chicken recipe (Pollo Al Ajillo) - Easy Boat This is the way my mother was cooking the chicken when I grew up in Spain. It is not the traditional garlic chicken recipe but it is very yummy and smells like Spain :) To do this recipe for 4 hungry people you need: 3 lbs. of chicken, 1 onion, 1 garlic head, oregano, bay leaves, thyme, ground black pepper, white wine and chicken bouillon. Parsley will add a nice touch. Fried the chicken in olive oil Add the onions and garlic Fried the chicken another 5 min Add the spices Stir vigorously Add the white wine and water Wait 15 min till the chicken is tender Add the parsley and enjoy ! You can eat with potatoes, vegetables, French fries, rice etc... It is easy for a boat since chicken is easy to find all over the world. Try to have good quality chicken to avoid too much liquid when you fry it.
