La costa si alterna, rocce e sabbia fine di colore bianco; e ovviamente un meraviglioso mare trasparente, ottimo per fare delle crociere in barca a vela, anche a noleggio; numerosi yacht sono prsenti nelle acque dell'isola in tutte le stagioni dell'anno. Favignana è la più grande dell'arcipelago delle Egadi. Il terreno utilizzato fin dai tempi dei Romani, ha reso possibile l'estrazione del tufo, con il quale sono state costruite le abitazioni in Sicilia e del Nord Africa. Le piante spontanee, ancora oggi costituiscono la macchia mediterranea, tipica del luogo, alcune delle quali si prestano per deliziose ricette dell'enogastronomia tipica. Molte sono le presenze di conigli selvatici, esemplari d uccelli, circondano l'isola, il grifone il pellicano, il fenicottero, il biancone, il cormorano, il gruccione. Favignana è caratterizzatala da un clima mediterraneo, il quale influisce anche nel benessere della persona offrendo temperature miti tutto l'anno. La stagione estiva, si prolunga dal mese di Maggio fino a quello di Ottobre. L'autunno e la primavera sono molto brevi e le perturbazioni fanno capolino solo nella stagione invernale. E' fondamentale un mezzo di trasporto con il quale affrontare le strade che si alternano ad asfalto e terra battuta, numerosi i posti a cui rivolgersi per noleggiare, biciclette, scooters, auto e fuoristrada. Le distanze dagli aeroporti di Trapani e Palermo sono minime, facilitando il trasferimento sull'isola, per una vacanza piena di mare e natura. Here is a glimpse of where we started after purchasing our boat. We removed lots of junk and donated many items that were cluttering the space, cleaning and organizing, to make this space our own. Next stop was the boat yard to get hauled out of the water to make some big improvements and maintenance work. Some of the items were updating solar, adding new zincs, installing under water lights, bottom paint, boot stripe, adding new logo, teak refresh, and underside maintenance. David Hows crossed the Tasman Sea for the first time in 2013, relieved to have survived a 1,500nm crossing that he never expected to repeat. 9 years and 13 Tasman Sea Crossings later, David has experienced winds as high as 55 knots, 10 metre seas, boat speeds hitting 24 knots and squalls tracked with radar moving at up to 106 knots. David shares 17 lessons that are applicable for anyone sailing offshore. Durch einen Fehler beim Upload wurde das Video durch YouTube nach 30 Tagen mit 0 Aufrufe geführt. Dadurch hatte es keine Chance beim Ranking wahrgenommen zu werden. Deswegen mußte es leider diese Woche nochmal hochgeladen werden. Entschuldigung an alle die es schon gesehen hatten! Da verläßt man sich auf Sailclear um einzuklarieren und wird bitter enttäuscht. Dann beginnt ein Weltlauf mit der Zeit. Doch warum hetzten, wenn es auch anders geht. Zielhafen geändert und das mühsame Verfahren in Port Elisabeth durchlaufen. Mit Gesundheitsinspektorin und den ersten Karibischen Dollar in der Tasche. In der Nacht gibt es dann ein heftiges Unwetter, ist halt Regenzeit in der Karibik. This week i've been wheeling and dealing. I'm always on the lookout for a good deal. I'm lethal on Ebay and i'm like a Crododile...waiting for weeks to strike!!! Well sometimes things come all at once and this week i've been super lucky. I get a Spinnaker for Lull the Lugger for about £30, a half price Tiller pilot TP10 and a sewing machine for half price and here they are!!
