Über 170 Segler*innen auf insgesamt 21 Booten nahmen diesmal an der Hochseemeisterschaft in Kastela, Kroatien teil. In den drei Racing-Tagen waren die Teilnehmer*innen mit sehr unterschiedlichen Segel-Bedingungen konfrontiert, denn von Leichtwind mit Sundowner-Stimmung bishin zu 25 Knoten Wind mit satten Schaumkronen war alles dabei. Am letzten Tag wurde die Rangliste noch umgeworfen und der Staatsmeister 2022 (Candidate Sailing Team) wurde auf den zweiten Platz verwiesen und der SCK zog vorbei. In der ORC Klasse fand das Team "Crew Tauern" die richtige Lane und sicherten sich dank Streicher den Titel in diesem Jahr. 🔨 Mastic, réparations et étanchéité, c'est parti ! 😄 🛶 Aujourd’hui, on attaque le mastic de finition sur l’apprêt, histoire d’avoir une surface bien lisse. 🩹 Ensuite, on s’occupe d’un petit souci sur le pont : un joli éclat sur le stratifié à réparer avec du mastic armé (autant faire ça bien !). 🔧 Et pour finir en beauté, on refait l’étanchéité du hublot de pont. Parce que l’eau à bord, c’est sympa… mais pas à l’intérieur ! 😆 🛠️ Bref, une journée bien remplie entre ponçage, application et nettoyage. 🛠️ Aujourd’hui, je fais le plein du réservoir d’eau et je détecte des fuits ! 💧Une vilaine fuite sur le circuit, un tuyau récalcitrant et hop, me voilà encore dans des tavaix imprévus. 🤝 Heureusement, Sandrine est là pour me filer un coup de main (ou deux). On a tout donné… et franchement, on en a bavé ! Entre démontage, jurons, sueur et éclats de rire, on a fini par gagner la bataille du tuyau. ⚙️ Et pendant qu’on y était, j’ai aussi réglé une autre fuite, celle du filtre filtre ensortie de reservoir d’eau douce. The MOD70 Race for Water team is training in Lorient (France), getting ready for the "Race for Water Odyssey". The "Race for Water Odyssey" by the "Race for Water" foundation, based in Lausanne, Switzerland, will start on March 15, 2015 in Bordeaux (France). This unique expedition aims to visit the beaches of islands located in the oceans’ 5 vortexes of trash, in order to investigate the areas around the world affected by plastic garbage polluting the oceans, and highlight its consequences on the populations. Technical dive through the Arch on the Southside of Elphinstone reef. Maximum depth was 65m, the Arch is at 60m. We had a mixed dive team, 2 CCR's (JJ and rEVO) and 1 Open Circuit Sidemount. The dive was facilitated by Red Sea Explorers and we were using their Suex DPV's.

The tough record they will try to beat was set by Loïck Peyron and his crew in 2012 on Banque Populaire V, which was renamed Spindrift 2 a year later. The French-Swiss team decided to use the same 40 m trimaran because they believed that the boat could be further optimised, a task that sailors, engineers and technicians at the team have been working on ever since. After countless hours of work at the boatyard and 40,000 nautical miles of racing and training, the Spindrift racing-prepared trimaran is all set to go. The team will officially go on stand-by on October 19th and wait for the ideal weather window. D’une joyeuse course-croisière, le Tour de France à la Voile est devenu une belle école de course au large pour de nombreux équipages amateurs et jeunes marins talentueux, puis une compétition de haut niveau avec la présence de grands champions. Le Diam 24 marque le début d'une nouvelle ère sur le Tour de France à la Voile. Dans la droite ligne des bateaux précédents, le Diam 24 est un monotype mais il est le premier trimaran à être choisi comme bateau du Tour.
