This week has seen the Autumn storms arrive with proper lack of weather in between. However, I`ve still been out sailing with family and friends and have got some good walking in both in Cornwall and up on Dartmoor with a good friend. The rain and wind has also allowed me to get on with a few of those domestic chores which also need doing when (like me) you are a live-aboard.

Once Bagheera makes it to Montreal, the clock starts ticking as we prepare to leave on our big adventure, sailing down to Guadeloupe for the winter. This journey is full of obstacles and hurdles, but we stick it out and get as much work done as possible in the time we had. Preparations begin early this year for sailing from Turkey to Croatia as we move onto the boat full time. A quick stop at the nicest reef in the Abacos located right of the West side of Manjack Cay has a lot in store for us. Right after we pull anchor and set sail with a little bit of wind. Our engine's water pump is leaking more and more so we are trying to use the motor as little as possible. It leads us to Powell Cay for the night. We decide to cook our catch on a beachfire with marshmallows for the kids. Filmed May 2024.
