The masters of suspense. After almost 1,900 miles of racing, the fleet has hit a slow wind bubble and suddenly everything is possible again. In today’s episode, we take you onboard Malizia 4 as the crew make the most of the lighter conditions. Boris and Cole show us how they managed to repair the foil system using some seriously creative solutions, and the results are already looking good. During today’s watch, Cole and Justine managed to keep Malizia 4 flying at an average of 21.1 knots for 25 minutes in just 12 knots of wind. Not bad at all. Julien Villion also breaks down the weather strategy and explains why Malizia 4 has chosen the northern route, while DMG MORI Global One heads south and 11th Hour Racing and United by the Ocean take the middle route. And of course, Gauthier brings you some stunning drone footage of Malizia 4 racing across the Atlantic. The perfect way to escape for a few minutes after a long day at work. Three routes. Three strategies. One big question: who will find the wind first? Watch the latest episode and stay tuned to see which cards pay off. 🌊⚡️ Race Tracker: https://www.team-malizia.com/live ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Follow Our Team On Social Media: ⬇️ Instagram Team Malizia: https://www.instagram.com/team_malizia/ Instagram Boris Herrmann: https://www.instagram.com/borisherrmannracing/ Facebook Team Malizia: https://www.facebook.com/teammalizia/ Facebook Boris Herrmann Racing: https://www.facebook.com/borisherrmannracing/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@team_malizia LinkedIn Boris Herrmann: https://www.linkedin.com/in/boris-herrmann/ LinkedIn Team Malizia: https://www.linkedin.com/company/14832074 #borisherrmann #teammalizia #TheOceanRace #imoca #imocaglobeseries #offshoresailing #sailing #racing #aracewemustwin #climateactionnow

Highlights from the 50th-anniversary RORC Round Britain and Ireland Race 2026—1,805 nautical miles around Britain and Ireland and one of offshore sailing’s greatest challenges. Featuring spectacular onboard footage, drone images from the start in Cowes, interviews with competitors before and after the race, and the story of overall winner Pace, this film captures the winners, the survivors and some of the extraordinary moments from the 2026 race. 32 boats. 182 sailors from five continents. 1,805 nautical miles. One epic race, held every four years. For more than two weeks, the fleet raced around one of offshore sailing’s most demanding courses: Land’s End, the wild west coast of Ireland, St Kilda and Muckle Flugga, before turning south into the navigational challenge of the North Sea and English Channel. The competitors faced Atlantic lows, wind holes, big seas and glassy calms. Boats surfed at more than 25 knots and, at other times, crews were forced to kedge at anchor against the tide. Sails were repaired, a boom shattered and sailors were pushed mentally and physically by fatigue. There were also unforgettable encounters with wildlife—including an owl that became one of the unexpected stars of the race. From Monohull Line Honours and the overall IRC victory for Johnny Vincent’s Volvo 70 Pace, to battles throughout the IRC classes and extraordinary stories from across the fleet, this is a taste of what it takes to race non-stop around Britain and Ireland. In this video, we step aboard the Marcopolo MP12, an all-new Italian adventure yacht that combines a distinctive explorer-inspired design with the performance and versatility of an outboard-powered cruiser. At 12.7 metres long and just over 4 metres wide, the MP12 makes impressive use of its dimensions. Its broad, flared bow creates a huge amount of usable space forward, while the modular aft layout can be configured around either entertaining or relaxing on the water. Fold-down bulwarks further open up the aft deck, creating an unusually spacious connection with the sea. Performance is also a key part of the MP12's character. Its three-step hull was developed using CFD to provide stability and balance at speed, while the boat can accommodate up to three 450hp outboards. The enclosed hardtop and cruiser layout also make the MP12 a genuinely versatile boat, designed to move between open-air day boating and more comfortable overnight cruising. Below deck, the MP12 offers two cabins and four berths, alongside a bathroom with a separate shower. The interior combines natural wood, technical materials and automotive-inspired Dinamica upholstery to create a surprisingly refined environment for a boat with such a strong adventure focus. A huge thank you to the team at Marcopolo Adventure Yachts for giving us access to this fascinating new boat. If you enjoy detailed yacht and boat tours, don't forget to like, subscribe, and turn on notifications for more marine content.

Old San Juan to Glowing Seas - Sailing Puerto Rico This week, we leave the USVI behind and set our sails for Culebrita — a stunning, isolated tropical paradise where we slow down and spend a few unforgettable days surrounded by nothing but turquoise water, beaches, and the feeling of being completely off the grid. But the adventure is only getting started. ⛵ From Culebrita, we sail to Culebra, where we experience one of the most incredible natural spectacles of the entire journey — bioluminescent waters so bright they seem to glow beneath our boat. After a few peaceful days exploring the tiny island of Palermo, we point the bow toward San Juan. Sailing past the massive historic fort and into the harbor feels like entering another world. And then comes the unexpected part… After months of traveling through remote islands and foreign countries, we suddenly start seeing places that feel strangely familiar — Home Depot, Olive Garden, Chick-fil-A… reminders of home just when crew morale needed it the most. We explore the historic fortifications, wander the colorful streets of Old San Juan, and soak up the last moments of Puerto Rico before pulling up the anchor once again. Our next passage will take us to the final country of our world tour. The journey is getting closer to the finish line… but there's still plenty of ocean — and adventure — ahead. Come sail with us. 🌊⛵ #Sailing #SailingAdventure #WorldTour #Culebrita #Culebra #Bioluminescence #PuertoRico #SanJuan #OldSanJuan #DominicanRepublic #SailboatLife #Cruising #travelvlog We are a suburban blended family that has raised our 3 older children and now want to travel the world. After planning and saving for the past 6 years, we are now embracing our dream of sailing around the world on our Leopard 45 sailing catamaran. Follow our journey as we Circumnavigate the Globe in 3-4 years on a budget of $4,800/month (food, communication, fuel, insurance, transportation, mooring/marina & fun). We left the USA in October 2023 and plan to visit 26 countries on 5 different continents all while worldschooling a budding teen in our off grid tiny house. 🏆 Looking for boating spreadsheets, inside info or wanna help keep the dream alive? In this episode of my solo sailing adventure, I'll take you from Cooktown up to Cape Flattery. We’ll start off with almost no wind and then ramp up to 25-knot gusts, so you can expect a mix of calm moments and some real action on the water. Now, not everything goes to plan. During the sail, I encounter some frustratingly tangled running rigging that takes a bit of effort to sort out, but we get through it. I’ll also include a shout-out to one of my keenest followers who gifted me some fantastic fresh produce, which was a real treat on the journey. And yes, we’ll talk about how the pontoon situation turned into a bit of a letdown. All in all, there’s a lot to look forward to, including the first mackerel catch of the season as we approach Cape Flattery! Let’s set sail! We lucked out! It seems the docks on the Islands are still pretty full, even after Labour Day. We expected to maybe cruise around and find nothing for the weekend, which would have kept us at the dock. I noticed that some friends were out, so I texted them and asked where they were and if there was a spot. They replied that they were on an Island, there were no extra spaces....BUT...they were leaving Saturday morning so if we got there around 10:00 am, we could swap spots! Tremendous! It was really windy and gusty by the time we left the marina on Saturday morning, but we got to Grenadier Island in plenty of time, swapped out the spots, and started to get settled. Some other friends contacted us, and we let them know that there was a free spot for their boat. So a great weekend was had with good friends! Chloe was the Star of the Show, and the weekend. She was constantly sniffing, tracking, and chasing any critter she could see. It was so much fun to see her so serious and alert as a Hunter! She caught nothing, by the way. On Sunday, heading back to the marina, we stopped into Huck's Marina for a fuel-up and pump-out. What a beautiful facility and really helpful staff! As the bad weather starts coming in, it's more important for us to take advantage of every weekend on the boat!

This interview connects with Matt on the day that he left St John's, Newfoundland, bound for Aasiaat in Greenland where he will begin his quest to circumnavigate the Arctic solo and non stop. He expects to cover the 10,000 miles in around 90 days if everything goes perfectly. He has crammed 1,600 litres of fuel onto his Valiant 42 and will sail across the North Atlantic, passing north of Iceland and Norway, before he enters Russian waters. He, like Elle Hibberd and fellow OCC member, Harry Anderson, have succeeded in receiving the necessary permission to attempt the North East Passage without a Russian Pilot on board. Once he crosses the border into Russia his Starlink terminal and GPS will stop working leaving Matt without access to detailed satellite imagery to help him navigate the ice strewn waters. Instead Matt will have to rely on the Iridium network to stay in touch and access weather and ice information. We terminated the interview a little early due to poor audio quality but we will make every effort to catch up with him again when he is under way. Matt's sailing credentials are extraordinary. He became the first person to circumnavigate the Americas non-stop in a 309 day solo voyage through the North West Passage and around Cape Horn. He now runs an expedition yacht supporting scientists studying climate change. He does this through his non-profit organisation and is currently raising money to buy a new engine for his research yacht. Here is a short video explaining the route https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHPThATpYrQ Matt's website is: www.oceanresearchproject.org
