Today, we are waiting on parts at Dowry Creek Marina, so we are knocking out a few projects. This one is a simple swap of the accumulator tank. How did we know it had failed? When I tried to add air, water pushed out of the bladder. That tells you the tank is done. On our 2000 Moody 46 we have spent the refit trying to set things up so you can replace common parts without digging for a toolbox. We start by showing you where to find our new Fairline spot, tucked between the Princess and Bentley stands. 🧭  On the Fairline pontoon we rattle through the line-up: the fresh Targa 40 with its fold-down terraces, Targa 45 Open, another Targa 45 (GT), the Targa 50 with that smart black roof, and the elegant Squadron 58. Of course, there’s also Fairline Hospitality, a proper bar where you’ll probably find James! If you have been sent one of our giveaway corks - don't forget to bring it. 🍾 Then we skip over to Sea Ray to introduce Jake on the stand (be nice, it’s his first show!): you’ll see the Surf model, the 250, SPX 190, SPX 230, and a big-power twin-V8 Sea Ray that turns heads. We also swing by Parker (Explorer 790, 800 Cruiser, and the lovely Sorrento), check in with Williams Jet Tenders (from MiniJet up to the big SportJets), and finish at the new Kawasaki stand with UTVs, a new Sea Angler, bikes, the lot. Das war unser Landaufenthalt auf Kuba! Während der Erlebnisreichen Fahrradtour, durch die wir Land und Leute hautnah erlebt haben, durften wir vielseitige Erfahrungen machen: So zum Beispiel fuhren wir in das wunderschöne Viñales-Tal und besuchten die Friedrich-Engels-Schule. Der dortige Gala-Abend war für uns alle eine kulturelle Bereicherung und wir waren viel mit den Gleichaltrigen in Austausch. Der abschließende Aufenthalt in La Habana brachte uns die Geschichte und das System Kubas näher. Kuba war für uns alle eine eindrucksvolle Erfahrung und ein Highlight der Reise. The transformation is unreal… and honestly, the teak on our sailboat turned out SO GOOD. And the best part? We saved HUNDREDS of dollars doing it ourselves. Tantas veces me pasaba con el camión de romper algo en la loma del traste, y ahí aparecía "alguien" que me ayudaba y resolvía. En el agua es igual, en una charla con Germán y otros nautas, juntamos 6 marineros y bajamos el palo. El ángel del varadero, Jorgito Quintana, nos tranquilizó en un primer momento, y los amigos del Callas, que siempre nos empujan y nos hablan de manera tal que siempre nos reconforta y nos hacen tomar dimensión de lo que estamos haciendo, todos los amigos del club nos dieron una mano para que sigamos adelante.
