http://www.viewyacht.com/columbobreeze COLUMBO BREEZE, an Oyster 66, is a gorgeous yacht that will turn heads in any port. Designed by Rob Humphreys her pedigree is world class. For any sailor who appreciates the best of performance and safety, as well as luxurious accommodations, this is the yacht for you! Over the past few years, the yacht has undergone a complete refit, restoring her luster and adding significant enhancements. When first entering the yacht from the cockpit, take 5 steps down to the raised navigation station. Two more steps down brings you to the main living area which has fresh new Sunbrella fabric upholstery. Columbo does not only rely on the island ‘Breeze’ for comfort – she is fully air conditioned throughout, with individual controls in each cabin. The owner’s stateroom aft is very spacious and comfortable. Features include a king-sized island berth, a lounging settee, desk, TV, and private companionway ladder leading to the aft deck. A double berth guest stateroom is forward to starboard, and the third cabin is a twin with upper and lower berths located forward port. Both have ensuite head with electric toilet and separate shower stall. The cockpit is split into separate steering and guest / crew areas. Both cockpits have a clear central walk-way between the dual wheels, giving excellent access from the companionway to the helm positions or to the aft deck. Stern bathing/boarding platform finished with teak slats and hot and cold shower. COLUMBO BREEZE is based year round in St. Maarten and is available for charter throughout the Caribbean. http://www.viewyacht.com/circus Accommodations:"Circus" is a stunning example of the fine Italian quality and craftsmanship for which Azimut is world-renowned. She is finished with cherry wood throughout, including bulkheads, cabinetry and overhead accents that are highly detailed, well fitted and finished in high gloss lacquer that twinkles with clear reflections from recessed overhead lights. Upholstered with leather, the furniture, soft bulkhead panels and dramatically shaped overheads are in neutral hues that nicely complement the woodwork. Most countertops are marble or granite, and the master head sole is marble. In addition to its four (4) well-appointed staterooms, "Circus" also boasts comfortable crew quarters with crew lounge, private head & entrance through engine room. It will sleep up to 8 passengers unless a Chef is added in which case it will be maximum 6 passengers plus crew. The Salon is roomy and well-equipped for entertaining with its two (2) curved sofas, over-sized chair and dining area, which comfortably seats eight (8) for dinner. You must get aboard to experience the luxury and amenities that this beautiful yacht offers. Music by bensound.com

This video explains a basic man-overboard recovery procedure, involving a reach-away, reach-back process. I like this procedure for its simplicity. Other MOB recovery procedures have their own benefits which I hope to cover in followup videos. Note the video shows leaving the MOB to windward, note that ASA and others advise leaving the MOB to leeward, so you can decide what works for you - but never go near a luffing sail.

This episode is likely safe viewing for all ages (just one reference to “shitty”). :) Please give us a thumbs up if you enjoy it! Continuing the journey on our Seawind 1160 catamaran, up the Gulf Coast of Florida. We have a short drive today, up the ICW from Sarasota Bay to Cortez, where we will have the boat hauled for some work over the winter. Before reaching our destination, we pull over at an anchorage by Bradenton Beach to put out buoys and board fenders to protect the cat as we navigate into the narrow haul-out well. Unfortunately we didn’t realize quite how tight a squeeze it would be into the well, and they all had to be taken off again before we could enter. Thank goodness for the kind live-aboard folk at the marina, keeping a look out for our arrival, and helping us in. The entrance to the marina was pretty poorly marked; what looked like a wide channel was in fact an incredibly narrow channel hard up against the green markers … so we ended up running aground a few times (I think we counted five times). I was bummed that my GoPro quit recording before we made it all the way in, but c’est la vie. Rian at Mondo Marine came by with his colleague to take a look at the boat. He is doing some work that is being paid for by the previous owner, and we had him take a look at a couple of new issues too. We also discuss catamarans vs monohulls once again - this time at anchor vs while driving/sailing. Turns out that cats are MUCH more comfortable in short chop when you’re not going anywhere … The pups will be joining our voyages in April. And we’ll make sure to give you a peek at them very soon - we’ll be doing an abbreviated “life story” / Q&A next episode (finally!) -Kate Links to Amazon help me out - any purchase you make will give me a little commission, and doesn't cost you anything extra. :) Video gear used in this video: Sony A7ii camera with 35mm and 55mm lenses Sony ECM-GZ1M Zoom Microphone GoPro Hero5 Black GoPro Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter Rode SmartLav Black Pro Basic Common Outdoor Sports Kit for GoPro Hero 5 My favorite current video camera - compact, amazing auto-focus, in body stabilization, and great in low light: http://amzn.to/2kX973h Boat info: 2004 Seawind 1160 Catamaran (Deluxe style) Music by Epidemic Sound (http://www.epidemicsound.com) Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/sailing_with_dogs/ Check out our website: http://www.sailingwithdogs.com Find us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/SailingWithDogs/

http://www.viewyacht.com/catsy Welcome aboard CATSY, a luxury charter catamaran designed and built in 2008 by Sunreef in Gdansk. CATSY is a study in modern naval architecture, combining the necessities of both guest comforts and quality sailing. Comfortable for up to 8 guests, CATSY's guests accommodations include two aft Queen berth guest suites, and two forward double berth guest suites. She is of course air-conditioned throughout, and amenities include satellite TV in the saloon, and a 270 degree view of the blue Caribbean from inside! Of note is CATSY's large, shaded flybridge lounging area and helm station - it's a particular favourite with charter guests, as this design combines some of the more popular aspects of motoryachts with the thrill of sailing. The bridge deck features CATSY's saloon and galley, and the interior lounging areas, and the covered aft lounging cockpit, where most of her guests enjoy partaking in the sumptuous alfresco dining opportunities the tropical Caribbean climate provides. Truly, one of CATSY's outstanding features is her amazing amount of usable exterior guest space, from the cockpit aft to the trampolines forward, with the flybridge lounge to all the interior cabins, much has been contained in her 62 feet of length. CATSY's features extend beyond mere architecture - She is fully laden with modern water sports equipment and a large rigid-inflatable tender with a sturdy 70 horsepower outboard engine. This keeps CATSY's guests active with waterskiing, the towing-tube, wakeboarding and kneeboarding, though she also has a full compliment of non-motorized activities, including kayaking, snorkeling and 2 new stand-up paddleboards. For dive certified charterers, CATSY offers several scuba diving opportunities during your week aboard. All of these activities are at a mere arm's length away, just step down to the sea via the convenient stairstep swimplatforms on the stern of either hull. The entire CATSY charter package includes her award-winning crew, professional charter mariners that seek to accommodate the guests' every need, while maintaining a safe and eco-friendly environment aboard. http://www.viewyacht.com/capearrow The sailing yacht CAPE ARROW has been designed by the winning collaboration between Farr Yacht Design for the naval architecture and Nauta Design for the general concept, interior design and exterior styling, SW 100 RS is aimed at guests who enjoy the aggressive, sporty lines and open transom of low coachroof profile whilst not compromising the generous interior space of a Deck Saloon version. The absence of the deckhouse, the new design of furniture, a performance package including high modulus carbon mast and PBO has caused over a tone of weight loss. Thanks to this the sailing yacht CAPE ARROW has achieved a maximum speed of 30 knots. The interior layout of the sailing yacht CAPE ARROW follows the classic Southern Wind Shipyard configuration with the crew area aft consisting of two double cabins, two heads and a galley with separate navigation station. The guest accommodation comprises of two en suite cabins and a double VIP cabin further forward. The master suite is forward of the mast and is accessible through the study and includes a vanity desk and en suite bathroom. The large, well lit, saloon features a comfortable conversation area on the starboard and the dining area on the port side. By lowering the saloon on the SW 100 RS of CAPE ARROW, the living area has widened achieving a single open space with an adjacent study. The use of light colored fabrics and contrasting teak furniture, gives the impression of larger interior space. This new Southern Wind Shipyard sailing yacht CAPE ARROW is a very elegant performance sailing yacht, with modern lines and design, perfect for luxury and comfortable yacht charters.
