In den Pfingstferien ist Tim mit dem Rennrad von Bad Tölz bis zum Gardasee geradelt. Er hatte eine gesamt Zeit von 17:30 Stunden und eine Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit von 18 Km/h. Gesamtkilometer: 310 Gesamthöhenmeter: 2950 Route: Bad Tölz - Sylvensteinspeicher - Achensee - Jenbach - Matrei am Brenner - Brenner - Sterzing - Brixen - Bozen - Trient - Rovereto - Lago di Garda Danach verbrachten wir Jungs eine Woche am Gardasee :) Für weitere Updates abboniert unseren Kanal. Gepäck: leichte Windjacke, Seitenbacher Riegel, Maps Aminosäuren, Handy, TomTombandit Actioncam, Magnesiumpulver und zwei Trinkflaschen Es ging sehr gut los und ich hatte keine Probleme bis nach dem Brenner. Ich habe pro Stunde ca. ein Riegel gegessen um mein Kalorienverbrauch zu decken. Meine erste richtige Pause war im Inntal kurz nach Schwaz mit 5 min. Ich wurde ab Brixen von sehr starkem Gegenwind geplagt und hatte einen ziemlichen Einbruch. Für die letzten 15 km habe ich ungefähr eine Stunde gebraucht. Alles in allem war es eine sehr gelungene Tour, nur den Gegenwind hätte es nicht gebraucht! Meine Vorbereitung hat gepasst. Ich kann aber jedem empfehlen, sich an der Windvorhersage zu orientieren. :)

In this vlog, we sail off anchor from Rock Sound as we travel to Ten Bay Beach in Eleuthera. One thing I've noticed, is that Bahamians know how to cook good food. Wow. Case-in-point, take this day when we went to a local's house and enjoyed an amazing home-cooked meal of chicken, ribs, peas and rice, and a veritable buffet of good, hearty, authentic Bahamian food. It was a little weird getting into Keith's car for the first time though. Whose Keith, you ask? He's a guy we met at The Market grocery store. We randomly talked with him in passing, and learned that he not only knew of our home town of Toccoa, GA, but he also taught music at a high school in Altanta. Small world! After enjoying lunch with Keith at the Taylor's house, we went for a drive around Southern Eleuthera. We saw a good bit of the island that lies between Rock Sound and Governor's Harbour. It's nice to get the lay of the land by a vehicle that rolls instead of floats - you just see so much more, so much more quickly. Soon though, it was time to up anchor and continue making our way North along the Western coast of Eleuthera. The latter half of this episode shows how we go about weighing anchor and sailing away without the assistance of the engine. It's not all that hard to do, but requires a bit of forethought, and good communication between the anchor-upper, and the helms-woman. Lastly, we'll round off the video with a nice clip showing "The Swabby" at the helm. Yep - our little Molly can steer the Sandflea, with a little supervision, of course. Ah - they grow up so fast! One last voyage without a working engine from Isla Otoque to Isla Taboga where I have found a safe mooring for Karl so I can fly home and earn some extra $$$ for a new engine. Since winds are always low and turning in this area, it was a challenge to leave the anchor bay with the currents pushing...After a tiring and blood pressure raising maneuver we had to give up and throw an emergency anchor to keep Karl off the rocks. " Roberta “After I finished my Civil Engineering degree in Brazil in the end of 2015 I decided that I wanted to take an extra step. So with the full support of my long time adventure partner I started a Master Degree at Sydney University and that’s how we sold most of our belongings and moved from Brazil to Australia. But 6 months later we realized that actually that was not what we were looking for. So instead of flying back straight to our country, we decided to take a few sabbatical months and travel until the end of 2016. The plan was simple, we wanted to travel to places where it is cheap and/or comfortable, and take the time to think about our own lives so we could decide what we wanted to do from 2017 and on. After sanding and scraping the hull, we are finally ready to paint the bottom of the boat! I had originally planned a month to do all of this work but Maddie worked harder than any human ever should and we did it all in 1.5 days! After painting two coats of bottom paint on, we set out to a local grocery store to reprovision. Meet the manatees, Aramaná, Tureygua, Guacara and Mabó who are getting rehabilitated in the Puerto Rico Conservation Center for Manatees. They have been rescued around Puerto Rico by the passionate team in the center and it was such an amazing experience to see all the work they do for Manatees and other aquatic mammals and animals!
