In diesem Beitrag dreht sich alles um das nördliche Segelrevier Kroatiens – genauer gesagt Istrien – Warum Istrien eines der beliebtesten und meistgebuchten Charterreviere im deutschsprachigem Raum ist, wird in unserem Video genauer erläutert. Zusammengefallst haben wir es hier mit einem extrem einfach, für die meisten per Auto zu erreichendem Segelrevier zu tun. Es herrschen moderate Segelbedingungen, die für Einsteiger und Familien geeignet sind. Dennoch muss man sich vor der Bora in Acht nehmen, die vor allem im Kvarner Golf richtig heftige Windstärken erreichen kann. Ansonsten keine Tidenunterschiede, oder Strömungen. Es gibt tolle Marinas und wunderschöne Buchten, sowohl am Festland, als auch auf den immergrünen vorgelagerten Inseln. Die Städte sind zu schade um daran vorbeizusegeln und die Konobas bieten bestes Mediterranes Essen zu meist guten Konditionen. L'objectif de Manuel Cousin et du Groupe SETIN est la participation au Vendée Globe de 2020, année qui sera aussi celle de l'entreprise normande. Le Vendée Globe est à ce jour la seule course à la voile autour du monde, en solitaire, sans escale et sans assistance. Un événement planétaire surnommé à juste titre l’Everest des mers.

This is Chris Nicholson’s sixth race – he knows the Volvo Ocean Race inside out and he’s never short on a view. So, as we visited the teams here in Cardiff during the stopover we started by asking him what it had been like on board when AkzoNobel had set the new 24hour distance record of 601.63 miles. Bu it didn’t take long before we were talking about the remaining two legs and what lies in store. With just three points separating the top three boats and with Donfeng looking likely to take the bonus point for the best elapsed time overall, the 2018 edition of the Volvo Ocean Race is tighter than in any previous race in its 45 year history. Here’s what Nicholson had to say.

He’s been a crew member, skipper, watch leader and coach for a variety of teams in his six previous Volvo Ocean Races. For his seventh Neal McDonald is performance director for Mapfre, a crucial role throughout the race, but never more so than now as the race tightens up for the final two legs. The World Sailing Show caught up with him to find out the mood in the camp as the team prepares to regain it’s earlier overall lead in one of the closest races in the event’s history.

While their day-to-day meals are a selection from a standard food catalogue, they can take a certain amount of bonus food (about 10 percent of their total provisions), which is specifically developed to their individual preferences. The consumption of the bonus food onboard the ISS is an important team event that fosters morale and spirit during the astronauts’ challenging stay in space. “When you fly onboard the ISS, you are around 400 km above our planet,” said Frank de Winne, Head of the European Astronaut Centre (EAC) in Cologne, Germany. “We certainly want our astronauts to perform in an optimal manner, so we need to provide them support. One of the supports we provide is food.” "In order to enhance the challenging life of the astronauts, we try to offer them a taste of home,” commented Jörg Hofmann, Director Culinary Excellence LSG Group. “Food is deeply connected to our families, personal life and cultural heritage. The LSG Group has taken its culinary excellence skills to yet another level: The company’s Global Culinary Excellence Team has developed “bonus food” for Alexander Gerst, a European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut and International Space Station (ISS) commander during the upcoming “Horizons” mission. Bonus food plays an important role in the astronauts’ physical and psychological wellbeing during their typically six-month stay onboard the ISS. While their day-to-day meals are a selection from a standard food catalogue, they can take a certain amount of bonus food (about 10 percent of their total provisions), which is specifically developed to their individual preferences. The consumption of the bonus food onboard the ISS is an important team event that fosters morale and spirit during the astronauts’ challenging stay in space. “When you fly onboard the ISS, you are around 400 km above our planet,” said Frank de Winne, Head of the European Astronaut Centre (EAC) in Cologne, Germany. “We certainly want our astronauts to perform in an optimal manner, so we need to provide them support.
