The annual Royal Malta Yacht Club Boxing Day Race is a yearly appointment where sailors take part in a short race to raise funds for the Malta Community Chest Fund's Boxing Day initiative - L-Istrina. During the race, sailors and crews are encouraged to dress up their boats and themselves to add to the cheer. This year's event raised €1250 - thank you to all those that donated!

Ob Hydra, Ägina, Ägina, Angistri, Salamina, Poros oder eine der vielen andern Inseln in dieser Region - sie alle sind bei vielen Yachturlaubern seit langem beliebt. Und mit Athen hat man auch noch einen prädestinierten Ausgangspunkt für einen Törn im Saronischen Golf. Außer der Marina Alimos, die bei vielen Seglern aufgrund Ihrer "Schönheit" ein paar Punkte verliert, dafür aber eine große Auswahl an Charteryachten bietet, gibt es aktuell auch die Möglichkeit, in der Marina Zea oder der Agios Kosmas marina zu starten. Andere Segler wiederum starten ab Lavrion, südöstlich von Athen. Wie auch im Ionischen Meer, bläst der Wind hier eher moderat und man ist vor stärkeren Winden wie in den Kykladen geschützt. Dennoch kann man sagen, dass es hier meist stärker bläst als im Ioinischen Meer. Ein Törn in dieser Region bietet neben Inselreichtum, schönen Tavernen und traumhaften Buchten, auch viel Kulturelles wie zum Beispiel byzantinische Bauwerke und antike Temple. Im Süden des Saronischen Golfes liegt der Argolische Golf, der vor allem rurch seine hohen Bergkulissen besticht, die teilweise über 900m in den Himmel ragen. Als Fazit ist zu sagen, dass das Revier für Yachturlauber ein facettenreiches Törnangebot bietet. Kein Wunder also, dass dieses Revier zu einem griechischen Hotpspot für Yachturlauber geworden ist. Adventure Ocean has received a total makeover with the amplification of Oasis of the Seas. Firstly, it is MUCH BIGGER! Adventure Ocean has been expanded out to where the "secret sun deck" on deck 14 used to be. This made room for a room for an interactive gaming room, snapshot table-hockey, foosball and interactive wall-sized projection games that encourage movement and exercise.
