While grabbing a bite to eat near my “Longevity Laboratory” here in Amami, my mate Matt Pride of Amami Adventures spotted a sign with the funniest—and surprisingly insightful—comparison between 18-year-olds and 81-year-olds. Today, we are waiting on parts at Dowry Creek Marina, so we are knocking out a few projects. This one is a simple swap of the accumulator tank. How did we know it had failed? When I tried to add air, water pushed out of the bladder. That tells you the tank is done. On our 2000 Moody 46 we have spent the refit trying to set things up so you can replace common parts without digging for a toolbox.
