With Starry Horizons safe and sound on the hard, we traveled back to the US for the holidays, visiting friends and family. We even ran into a few celebrities! ;) Once we returned to New Zealand, we decided that it was time to explore a country by land. We bought a car in Auckland and after checking in on our girl, set out on a 30 day road trip. This first leg was all about exploring waterfalls and glow worms. The best of which was in Tutukaka harbour where we were entertained by some outrigger racing and even found a hike with a gorgeous view. Our haul out was scheduled at Norsand Boat Yard and we'd be storing Starry Horizons there for a couple of months. To get there, we had to navigate the Hatea River, which was quite shallow, all while remember that our navigational markers were backwards from those in the States! Fortunately, we made it without any issues and got our girl safely tucked away! In colder climates I set the furnace on at minimum and close down all the windows same as for heat minus venting. - What happened to the girl?
