Beneteau Cyclades 50.4 yacht named "Nariki". The footage was taken during our cruise from Gosford, New South Wales, Australia to the Whitsunday Islands, Queensland, Australia in 2018. Since then we have produced a series of videos (episodes 1-27) recorded in 2022, where we sailed "The Doghouse" north along the east Australian coast as far as Hinchinbrook Island in Queensland. On lève l’ancre pour une navigation difficile de plus de 24h de Cabo de la Vela au parc protégé Tayrona en Colombie. Comme toujours, les vents se lèvent durant la nuit et on arrive dans le parc protégé complètement vidé d’énergie. Les jours suivants ont été un cauchemar; un voleur est venu sur Atypic et sur le voilier de Jay pour voler nos défenses de bateau, un homme a aussi tenté de voler le dinghy à Jay en plein jour, on a donc dû quitter Santa Marta avant qu’ils réussissent à voler un de nos dinghy, mais ça ne s’est pas terminé comme prévu. Durant la navigation, le gouvernail du voilier de notre ami Jay a brisé, il s'est pris un filet de pêche dans l'hélice et il a malheureusement échoué son voilier sur la côte Colombienne. YANMAR 3GM30F Top End Rebuild with NO EXPERIENCE! Pt. 3 I Ep. 34 This is part three of our YANMAR 3GM30F Top End Rebuild! Follow our journey as we service our YANMAR diesel engine... In this episode we have a visit from our friends Chasing Currents and we get to work to return the cylinder head! If you have been watching our sailing couple vlog so far, you will know we took Indiana on a voyage to the Solent and sailed our sailboat back to Brighton. We came back to 6 litres of water in our YANMAR sailboat engine bilge and some serious diesel engine issues! Our YANMAR 3GM30F diesel engine needed some work! With the cost of a marine mechanic being way more than we could afford, we decided to roll up our sleeves and tackle the job head on! In the last two episodes we showed you how to remove a cylinder head, refurbish the cylinder head, which included lapping vales and skimming the mating surface and an injector overhaul with a hunt for a head gasket. You may have seen our YouTube sailing engine video 'HOW to get your ENGINE STARTED' episode earlier in the year, when we had issues cold starting our diesel engine. We guess this is the price you pay for buying a sailboat with no experience! When buying a sailboat, we thought we would have more sailing experience by now, but it seems we have got more experience in rigging and marine diesel engine maintenance! This is the reality of living aboard a sailboat. However, our Gib'sea 372 has proven herself many times over. So there's a bit more sailboat maintenance to tackle but lets hope with a little more elbow grease, we will soon be back out sailing around the UK and then one day, sailing around the world! Nach der zweitägigen Hauruck-Aktion, in der Danny wegen eines Gerichtstermins zurück nach Deutschland musste, konnte es endlich weiter gehen mit dem Segelurlaub! Aber am nächsten Tag machte uns zunächst das Wetter einen Strich durch die Rechnung. So hätten wir bei Starkregen und 25 Knoten Wind gegenan zu unserem nächsten Ziel ottern müssen. Also beschlossen wir das Beste aus der Lage zu machen und noch ein paar Arbeiten am Schiff zu erledigen. Das AIS sendete schließlich wegen der Antennenleistung immer noch nicht und der Dieselmotor konnte auch etwas Liebe vertragen. Mit 24 Stunden Verspätung ging es dann aber endlich wieder los, wir konnten die Segel setzen und Kurs nach Marstrand setzen.
