Nous sommes de retour à Linton Bay, qu’on a surnommée « La maison », prêts à attaquer la longue liste de projets qui ne semble jamais se terminer. Parmi eux, le lavage, la réfection des coussins du carré qui sont imprégnés d’humidité, et le remplacement du robinet de cuisine. Malgré toutes ces tâches, notre désir d’aventure reste inébranlable. C’est pourquoi nous décidons de hisser les voiles et de mettre le cap sur Portobelo, un mouillage que nous n’avons jamais pris le temps d’explorer, étant constamment occupés à résoudre des problèmes et à entreprendre une multitude de projets. Nous avons choisi ce mode de vie pour voyager et découvrir le monde, mais au fil des années, nous réalisons que la majeure partie de notre temps est consacrée au montage vidéo, à l’entretien du bateau, à la réparation de ce qui se casse, à rendre le bateau habitable et à assurer nos besoins de base tels que se nourrir, avoir accès à l’eau et gérer les réserves. Malgré cela, une chose est certaine : nous avons la gratitude de réaliser toutes ces tâches dans des décors paradisiaques qui changent au gré de nos escales et nous n’échangerions pas de vie. Plan yap ve tanrıyı güldür... Bu seyahatte değil tekneyi karaya alıp bakımını yapmak, gezmek için bile Trinidad'a gelmeyi düşünmüyorduk. Üst üste gelen problemler teknenin karaya çekilme zamanını beklediğimizden en az 3 ay öne çekti. Sonra baktık yolda tanıştığımız arkadaşlarımız, özellikle sigortaları olan Avrupa'lılar tekneleri Trinidad'a çekiyor bizde bir araştıralım dedik. Böylece kendimizi Chaguramas'ta bulduk. Burası sadece yatlar için hazırlanmış, onlara çekek yeri olan bir kasaba. Her türlü malzeme ve tamir desteğini bulmak mümkün. Koy çok korunaklı ve yağmur ormanlarının arasında. Peake Yacht'ta rezervasyonumuzu yaptırmıştık ama buraya geldiğimizde aklımızda hala onlarca soru vardı. Bir haftamızı kasabayı gezmeye, burada işler nasıl halledilir onu anlamaya ayırdık. Şanslıyız ki burada işler düşündüğümüzden çok daha hızlı ve düzenli yürüyor. Da der Sturm über Stunden bläst, bauen sich Wellen auf, die z.T. höher sind als unsere MariaNoa. Sie brechen sich und die Kämme wehen ab. Sie sind steil und unregelmäßig und kommen direkt von der Seite. Um das Rigg zu schützen haben wir immer weiter gerefft und kommen kaum noch voran. Beide Motoren laufen bereits als wir auch noch den letzten Rest des Vorsegels einholen. Uns ist klar, dass wir so nicht weiterkommen und steuern die nächste Bucht an, wo wir im Schutz der Isla Owen Schutz finden. Für die 31 Meilen haben wir 8 Stunden gebraucht und einige kleinere Schäden sind am Schiff zu reparieren. Habt Ihr konkrete Fragen? Dafür haben wir uns einen Katamaran gekauft, mit dem wir Anfang März 2021 von der französischen Atlantikküste auf die Barfußroute gestartet sind. Plötzlich beschleunigte sich mein Leben erheblich, ich verkaufte mein Haus, löste den Hausrat auf und begann Berge an Schiffsausrüstung anzuschaffen. „Leinen los!“ war für Anfang März 2021geplant – und so kam es auch, trotz Corona. Brigitta war natürlich erst einmal vollkommen überrascht, obwohl eine Weltumsegelung wesentlich besser in Ihr berufliches Leben als Vorruheständlerin passte als in meins. In den letzten 6 Monaten hat Sie aber eine erstaunliche Entwicklung hinter sich gebracht und freut sich auf unser großes Abenteuer genau wie ich.
