The final day of the U.S. Disabled Sailing Championships saw six new champions crowned in frustratingly light conditions on San Diego Bay. Today we look at a very close finish in the Liberty class between Russell Phillips and Carwile LeRoy and hear from regatta coach and Paralympic Coach Betsy Alison. In days 1 and 2 videos, we heard from now-champions Mike Strahle, who sailed with Donna DeMarest in the Martin 16 class, and Andy Fisher, who came back with three more wins today in the Capri 22 class. On Day 2, San Diego delivered enough consistent breeze to sail three more races at the 2012 U.S. Disabled Sailing Champs. Today, meet Capri sailor Andy Fisher, whose team had three first-place finishes on the water (though one was later erased at a protest hearing) and Cristina Rubke, commodore of BAADS (Bay Area Association of Disabled Sailors), the organization with the most representation in the Access Dinghy Liberty and 303 classes.
