We took the family to visit my parents in the Bahamas over the Holiday break. My parents take their Sabre 42 sailboat down to Hope Town every winter and this is the first time we have been able to make the trek (it's a serious trek) with our 3 year old from San Francisco. We rented a small house in the Marina and explored from there. It was hard to say goodbye... The trip was a good one. Beautiful beaches, sailing and wildlife. And the addition of my new drone brought some great new perspectives. I wish I had all these cameras and kites on our sailing adventure 8 years ago!

This week we do a little bit of testing on a fiberglass layup. I am not experienced at Fiberglass so before I start slathering it down on my deck of DreamChaser, I want to practice a little bit. I figured a good way to do that was to do a small layup over some teak to see what it may look like when I make new deck boxes down the road, to try to make a small backing plate for the stanchion bases. We spent the day in Cozumel, Mexico. Started at Fat Tuesdays getting a drink and pole dancing. Went downtown and had lunch at Señor Frogs and celebrated Beckie's birthday. Then we walked back to the ship and stop at a local bar. Jake and Breyci spent some time swimming in the tidepools.
