We sail through the Jumento Islands, a little travelled part of the Bahamas. Though about 60 miles long there are no inhabited islands in the Jumentos making it a quite remarkable place to visit. We found the spearfishing very good, though there were a lot of sharks.

In this episode we leave Ruby Falls at Red Cone Creek and head to the epic Horizontal Falls where we take our tenders through for a preview before jumping on the charter tour to see the falls flowing at a mighty pace. Taking our tender up Cyclone Creek we again find huge currents and spectacular cliffs. Taking No Regrets around to Dugong Bay we explore a couple waterfalls and small ponds where we take a dip to cool off from the tropical heat. Hear from Chris Cargen about his yacht ownership journey with Atlantic Cruising Yachts. Chris has owned his Fountaine Pajot Saona 47 for 3 years now and has a contract for a Fountaine Pajot New 51. Thank you for choosing ACY, Chris! Oh, I've always wanted a boat. I have been around sailing for years, but I didn't actually learn to sail the boat until I was 70 years old, and actually waited until I had my boat delivered before I took sailing lessons here in Annapolis. There's nothing better than getting on a sailboat, even if it's not moving, just to get around water. Hey, I live in Nashville, Tennessee. We don't have an ocean close, so when I get to the boat, it's exciting to me. I particularly like the fact that Atlantic Cruising Yacht had arranged for charter opportunities in many different locations. And so, that was a big motivating factor. And the fact that they're the biggest dealer for a Fountaine Pajot was a huge reason why I felt that, that was a great group to purchase my yacht from. I have a three-cabin FP 47. And the more time I spend on it, the more space I'd like. I've had times where I wish I could have more people on board. Certainly, the more cabins you have make it a more charterable boat. I mean, the sweet spot in my view is not my boat, because my boat is really built more for an owner, although I've chartered it quite a bit. In fact, they've chartered it like crazy all summer, even though it's a three-cabin boat. But I just wanted a bigger boat, a slightly bigger boat. And a lot of the way that 51 lays out is similar to the boat I already have. I mean, it's got some nice new features to it, but it's not dramatically different. And it's only a couple feet wider and a few feet longer. And it's five cabins instead of three. And of course, that particular New 51 has several different cabin options. So in my case, I elected to have the Maestro owner cabin on one side, and then five other cabins. But you can have as many as six in identical cabins on that boat if you want. Ken Krasko is, of course, the person who heads that up for Atlantic Cruising Yachts. And Ken was great and very patient with all that. And of course, your salesperson is there as well, and Kris Vereen. I mean, anybody that you deal with can give you an answer, and you don't have to wait for one long. They're very responsive to any question you have. I always to wanted to own my own boat. And I got to an age where I said, "It's now or never. I better either do it or not do it." And that really was the motivation. And I remember I came to the boat show, I think in 2017 and saw the first Saona 47. It was hull number four on the same dock and loved it. And so I ordered it. And then I had it sailed across instead of freighted across. Quite frankly, I prefer that because now I know my boat's checked out. If something's going to fail, it's going to fail during that first sail. And I didn't want it failing on me. I know that some people freighter them over. And there are advantages to that, but that was not my preference, so. I'm Chris Cargen. I purchased a Fountaine Pajot Saona 47 from Atlantic Cruising Yachts and I love the boat. I've had it for three years. And I have put a deposit up for a new Fountaine Pajot 51 Catamaran.

After swapping the board for a coach boat, Patrik, along with Curro Manchon and Joao Rodrigues continued their contribution to future incarnations of the design.

SY TwoRavens segelt mit Ihrer Besatzung, bestehend aus zwei regatta- und bo(a)rdgewohnten Familienpapas von Nesna am nördlichen Polarkreis circa 750 Seemeilen entlang der atemberaubenden norwegischen Küste, weitere 250 nm durch das wind- und strömungsaktive Skagerrak und Kattegat, über die hübsche dänische Südsee nach Maasholm an der deutschen Ostsee. Coronabedingt haben wir unsere ursprünglichen Pläne, in den Lofoten zu segeln, über Bord geworfen und nutzten das kurze Fenster der norwegischen Grenzöffnung für ein, aus seglerischer Sicht, überraschend schnelles Abenteuer über das europäische Nordmeer in Richtung Ostsee. Allerdings nicht, ohne eine Traumstadt wie Alesund oder geeignete Kitespots aufzusuchen. Zwischen Tiefdruckgebieten gefangen, segeln wir, Micha und Shorty, mit nur drei Stopps vom Polarkreis nach Südnorwegen. Wetterbedingt bleibt auch dort keine Zeit für ausgedehnte Ankertage und Verkostung norwegischer Delikatessen. "One-night-stand" nähe Stavanger und weiter geht´s. Das Skagerrak müssen wir schnellstmöglich vor dem nächsten Sturm überqueren..., im weiteren Verlauf mit überraschenden Begegnungen. Scendiamo in auto verso Brindisi per riprendere il nostro giro d'Italia. Ci fermiamo a Gabicce Mare per spezzare il viaggio. Il giorno successivo facciamo rotta verso Otranto e ancoriamo nella rada di fronte alla città. Sveglia alle 7, colazione e via verso S.Maria di Leuca dove sostiamo tutto il pomeriggio per qualche bagno e la sera salpiamo per l'attraversata notturna del Golfo di Taranto. All'alba, intravedendo le coste della Calabria, veniamo accolti da 25 nodi di vento, provenienti proprio dalla direzione dove avevamo pianificato la rotta, quindi poggiamo ed entriamo a Crotone. Una bella dormita e via verso Roccella Ionica, l'attraversamento del Golfo di Squillace mette ansia, invece avverrà completamente senza vento. Atterriamo nel primo pomeriggio, facciamo una passeggiata, un bel bagno e la sera ci concediamo una cena nel ristorante del marina. La prossima tappa dovrebbe essere il marina di Riposto di Catania, ma non avendo pianificato nulla, ed essendo in anticipo sui tempi previsti, scegliamo di tentare la visita delle Eolie. Avvicinandoci allo stretto, al traverso di Punta Pellaro il vento aumenta fino a quasi 30 nodi, tutti sul muso, decidiamo quindi di fare tappa a Porto Bolaro, un posto magico che a mio parere merita una sosta. Il giorno successivo ripartiamo per il passaggio dello stretto di Messina, le correnti in alcuni punti fanno avanzare Mon Etap a 9 nodi e in una zona di incrocio di due correnti la barca si gira di 90 gradi rispetto la rotta impostata, una sensazione stranissima. Passiamo al largo di Scilla, scattiamo qualche foto e poi rotta verso le Eolie. Entriamo nel marina di Lipari nel tardo pomeriggio, visitiamo il paese e ci facciamo una cena di pesce. Il giorno successivo, tappa bagno nella strepitosa rada dietro al marina e poi ci spostiamo a Vulcano dove daremo fondo in 7 metri e raggiungeremo a nuoto la spiaggia. La tappa successiva sarà Cefalù, una tranquilla navigazione a vela ci consente un bagno alla traina in 1300 metri d'acqua, arriviamo a Cefalù alle 5 di pomeriggio e facciamo un fantastico bagno e poi visitiamo il paese. Ultima tappa di questo episodio ci vede fare mille bordi con un vento impegnativo per superare Capo Zafferano, bagnati fradici e stanchi arriviamo a Palermo nel tardo pomeriggio dove ci concediamo una cena a base di arancini e un dopocena ricco di cannoli. L'indomani si rientra a Verona in aereo per tornare al lavoro.

This episode sees the Captain unceremoniously unplug the wifi, and the crew depart on a LOOOONG two night passage to the next state, Oaxaca! We did intend to go to the famous surfing town, Puerto Escondido... but something about its reputation hinted to Bohemia's weary crew that it may not make the best anchorage... so we carried on instead to the alternative hip town of Mazunte! We had a lot of fun on this passage despite the weak winds... even taking a pitstop to swim in the open ocean! Vanuit Oeiras bij Lissabon maken we de oversteek van 480 nm naar Porto Santo in de Madeira archipel. Met crew Chloé en Patrick. Chloé geven we een anti zeeziekte patch achter haar oor, die prima blijkt te werken. We vertrekken met een groep Duitse boten, maar op een of andere manier gaan die wat langzamer en zijn we die na een uurtje al voorbij. We varen verder op met twee Zweedse boten, Josephine en Ran II (van het bekende vlog Ran Sailing). We hebben flinke wind en maken goede voortgang terwijl we met diverse zeilvoeringen testen. Met een uitgeboomde en deels ingerolde genua tegenover de gennaker hebben we een mooie stabiele setup. Na 3 nachten op zee komen we 's middags in de vierde dag aan in de marina van Porto Santo die vol blijkt te zijn. Jarenlang heb ik ervan gedroomd om zeilend te gaan waar de wind me brengt. In 2020 was het dan eindelijk zover en heb ik samen met Felia een prachtige reis gemaakt naar Scandinavië en de Baltische staten. Onze Eva, een Atlantic 43 uit 2007, is een aluminium zeiljacht met hefkiel en gebouwd en uitgerust voor reizen naar plaatsen die net achter de horizon liggen. Vanaf 2021 vaar ik met wisselende bemanning zuidwaarts. Ik vind het leuk om onze avonturen met jullie te delen. Today was windy and the lake was angry and I was excited to get some sailing in. I knew it was going to be an eventful day!! After checking my new pintle finally fits the boat, and also clicking on my freshly 3D printed jib hank retainers, I get out on the water. The morning sail sees us beating on down the lake. We stop for lunch, head back home and compare broad reaching to running. As we return home the wind starts to pick up and I quickly pop to my car to change GoPro batteries, but as I do Black Pig decides she's ready to sail now and catches a jib sheet on one of the spinnaker cleats and off she goes!! She sails single handed all the way across the lake!! Fortunately some of the club members already have a safety boat out so they give me lift over to the boat and tow us both home!! In the afternoon the wind picks up a little more so I decide to do some circuits close to home. The waves also grow to some of the biggest i've ever seen on Lake bala getting to at least 2 feet high. As I turn to broad reach I start to surf the waves and break my top speed record getting to 7.8 mph (about 6.8 kts). I get too confident though and try to race a club Laser Bahia dinghy, but they're just too fast!!! What an awsome day! I have to apologize for the poor camera at times today. Ma alla fine avvistiamo Fatu Hiva e dopo 3500 miglia ancoriamo nella Baia delle Vergini, finalmente in Polinesia Francese. Ci accolgono colori e profumi esotici, genti sorridenti e meravigliose, luoghi di incommensurabile, selvaggia bellezza. Pe qualche giorno, dopo il nostro arrivo, siamo frastornati dall'accoglienza degli abitanti del villaggio di Hanavave, felici di ritrovare vecchi amici navigatori e increduli di trovarci in uno dei posti più belli del mondo. Navigation vers Hoedic. Une escale et une nuit peu reposante, le catway (petit ponton perpendiculaire au ponton d'accès) qui lâche. Un passage de dauphins très rapide sur le retour et une pluie persistante. Mais toujours un réel plaisir de naviguer et me balader sur les chemins côtiers en dehors des périodes touristiques.

The first part of our sailing adventure to the Isles of Scilly. Sailing from Chichester Harbour to Swanage Bay through the Solent. We started last year's beautiful sailing season in the Chichester Harbour in early April. The first day we met the beautiful famous sailboat Jolie Brise - She is a gaff-rigged pilot cutter built and launched by the Albert Paumelle Yard in Le Havre in 1913. We spent one night in Osborne Bay and continued through the Solent to the west. We spent the next night at the most popular anchorage on the Solent - Newtown Creek. We continued west around Hurst Castle via the North Channel and headed to the Swanage Bay. Along the way, we were visited twice by amazing dolphins, they always lift our spirits. Behind Hurst Castle we had a very light wind, which suddenly turned into a stronger, gusty northwest wind in the squall. Exploring new islands is so exciting so we set sail from Eleuthera to the Berry Islands. A little stop at Green Cay by Nassau lets us snorkel real close to turtles.
