E240 – Ancient Lycia & The Forgotten Island of Gemiler (St Nicholas)

After arriving in Kaş, Turkey, we explore the city and its incredible ancient amphitheatre before setting off on a day trip through the heart of ancient Lycia. We visit the remarkable ruins of Patara, Letoon and Xanthos, discovering the history of one of the most fascinating ancient civilisations along Turkey’s Mediterranean coast. Continuing further along the coast, we explore a spectacular cave before passing Ölüdeniz Beach and searching for a more sheltered anchorage. Our journey eventually takes us to Gemiler Island, where we anchor among the incredible ruins of this ancient Christian settlement. Another incredible stretch of the Turkish coast, combining beautiful scenery, ancient history and plenty of adventure aboard No Regrets.
