▬ keywords ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #Tahanea #Fakarava #FranzösischPolynesien #Gesellschaftsinseln #Atoll #Südseeatoll #Guestimator #Slacktime #Tuamotus #IslesTuamotu #MarquesasIslands #ilesmarquises #archipeldestuamotu #FrenchPolynesia #französischpolynesien #Nuku-Hiva #Ua-Huka #Ua-pou #Hiva-Oa #Tahuata #Fatu-Hiva #pazifik #pacific #doldrums #langfahrt #barefootroute #Barfussroute #blauwasser #blog #bluehorizon #boatlife #boat #boot #bootfahren #bootsprofis #cruising #expedition #fahrtensegeln #freunde #Glück #Hurrikan #huricane #hurricaneseason #hurrikan #karibik #katamaran #lavagabonde #lagoon40 #langfahrt #langfahrtsegeln #marianoa #ozeansegeln #plan #planinternational #roundtheworld #circumnavigation #reiseblog #reisen #sailing #schiff #schnorcheln #segelabenteuer #segelboot #segeln #segelnüberdenatlantik #segelyacht #segler #sommer, #sonnenuntergang #strand #summer #sunset #tobago #traum #travel #umdieweltsegeln #unterwegs #vlog #vlogger #weltreise #weltumsegelung ▬ Über diesen Film ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Korallen haben diverse Zwischenräume in denen sich tausende und abertausende kleiner Fische verstecken. Quarken has been on my radar for a while, mainly because of how they approach design and usability. The 35GT blends a clean, modern look with a hull that’s clearly built for real conditions, offering a solid mix of performance, efficiency, and usable deck space. THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS Mention code DBL for discounts on Marine Mold Construction https://ms-marine.eu/ When the chance came up to spend time testing the Quarken 35GT, I wanted to focus on how it actually feels on the water. With a strong outboard setup and a well-balanced layout, this was a good opportunity to see how the boat performs beyond specs and renderings. The team behind the brand are clearly thinking long-term. After seeing what’s coming next and what’s still on the drawing board, it’s obvious Quarken is positioning itself as a serious option in this segment. If you’re comparing boats from established American brands or looking at European alternatives, this is one worth putting side by side. For the size and price point, the 35GT makes a strong case. CAMBRIA (along with her 75-feet waterline length cousins ASTRA and CANDIDA, the first three ‘Big Class’ yachts to be bermudan-rigged from launch) has long been dubbed a 23-Metre. However, while designed to rate around that figure under the International Rule, a key element of her survival into the 21st Century – still a magnificent racer-cruiser; every sweet William Fife III curve still in place while supporting perhaps the tallest of all truly wooden masts – is her stout original construction to Lloyd’s then highest specifications for wood and wood-composite yachts, rather than to the lighter International Rule scantlings. https://www.sandemanyachtcompany.co.uk/yacht/792/CAMBRIA Thus CAMBRIA, adored, maintained and respected for most of her life, has remarkably never required a total rebuild restoration. Her soul remains intact through recent major refits “sympathetic to her origins and respectful of her history”, and this is immediately apparent on first stepping aboard this happy, beautiful, historic, and very special classic yacht.

The Multihull Battle in the RORC Transatlantic Race 🌎 Oran Nataf’s Pulsar 50 Rayon Vert (FRA) crossed the finish line outside Camper & Nicholsons Port Louis Marina, Grenada on Friday 24th January 2025 to be the first multihull to finish the 2025 RORC Transatlantic Race. “I am very proud to be the skipper of this boat with a great crew,” commented Oran Nataf. “ This was a long race for us because both our small and large gennaker exploded early in the race. This meant we had to sail wider wind angles with a smaller sail area. I did not think we would be first, but the strong wind at the end of the race really helped us." #RORCTransatlanticRace #RORCracing #MOCRA 📸 RORC / Sailing Energy | Arthur Daniel | Perros-Guirec | Finn | Rayon Vert

In depth video view of my Welsford Scraps "Lil' FREDA". Departing from JW's plan, I built her to split apart and 'nest' inside the cockpit of GRACE my welsford Tread Lightly. No need to stow her in the cockpit or on foredeck etc when taking Grace to a different location. She assembles in less than 5 minutes and even assembled is a breeze to lift single handed and carry some disatnce! She easily fits in thje back of my Subaru wagon too. Scraps design is sooooo slippery thru the water and such a lovely little vessell to row without effort. Small, so care is needed, but she's a winner!

Solar and sunrises….Peniche to Porto! After a short break we’re back to finish the story of our journey to take Intrepid Bear back to the U.K., against the prevailing northerly winds on the Atlantic coast of Portugal and across Biscay to our home port of Poole. Join us as we sit at anchor in the busy fishing port of Peniche to wait out some northerlies. We are lucky enough to have a good solar set up that enables us to work online as well as do all our cooking on board, even running a bread maker, so being off grid here for a few days is no hardship. When the next break in the prevailing winds comes we start a series of dawn departures to make as much headway as we can, enjoying the stunning sunrises that come from@such early starts. We hope to be back on our regular fortnightly schedule now so please do stay tuned…. #followintrepidbear #sailing #sailinstagram #sailstory #liveaboardlife #liveaboardsailboat #sailingnorth #offgridliving #atlanticocean #sailor #sailingstories #peniche #figueradafoz #porto #sailinghome
