Yay! It's finally here. Today is the day that we finally make it into the water and find out if she can remember how to float! What a journey it has been to make it to this point. We have learned a lot and have so much more work to do to get her ready for fulltime living and start our own adventure of sailing around the world.

Ep 106 - Cruise Ports ~ Puerto Rico & St Thomas - Part 2 Cruising on a Schedule, Today we visit the ports of San Juan and Thomas. We visit the downtown and the "Old Fort". Our ship arrived in port late afternoon which means the interior of the Fort/National park was already closed by the time we got there but we did explore what we could and then wandered downtown where we grabbed a snack before getting back on the ship. St Thomas ~ We walked around downtown before we went under water for our diving excursion on the local reef and wreck at Buck Island. Join us as we sail from Cartagena, Colombia to Linton Bay, Panama! What started as an exciting passage quickly turned intense when we were caught in a massive lightening storm that lasted all night. With flashes surrounding us and thunder vibrating through us. We made the call to change course in hopes of clearing the storm. We got a visit from two sweet little birds who decided to move in. One even had a sleepover. Linton bay was a nice calm place to relax with a game and get some groceries.

While grabbing a bite to eat near my “Longevity Laboratory” here in Amami, my mate Matt Pride of Amami Adventures spotted a sign with the funniest—and surprisingly insightful—comparison between 18-year-olds and 81-year-olds. Matt’s Japanese is better than mine, so he translated it. Someone in this little town definitely has a sense of humour. Here’s the wisdom from the sign: 18-year-old: drives fast down the road 81-year-old: drives the wrong way down the road 18-year-old: weak heart 81-year-old: weak bones 18-year-old: doesn’t know anything 81-year-old: doesn’t remember anything 18-year-old: worries about exam scores 81-year-old: worries about blood sugar & blood pressure 18-year-old: falls in love 81-year-old: falls in the bath 18-year-old: fights with exams 81-year-old: fought with America Basically: At 18, you’re searching for yourself. At 81, you’ve finally found yourself. Japan does longevity with grace, grit… and very good humour. The art of community lives even in the signs by the roadside.

Day 35, Solo NonStop Circumnavigation: It’s a windy day. I see my sail & Casper sees dolphins! Things are looking good, but the waves are noticeably bigger. We’re mid Atlantic and finally south of the ITCZ. 1785 miles from The start (Grenada). 0 engine hours have been used since setting sail. WILL ANSWER ALL COMMENTS WHEN I HAVE SERVICE! ❤️ My name is Captain Kimmer. After tri-outs: sailing across the Atlantic without any navigation equipment, just my eyes and the stars, we’re on mission 1 of 3. A Solo NonStop Circumnavigation with a twist! I hope you enjoy the show. 🐶 ♋️ The Bravest Dog in the World Is About to Change It. Help Us Get There. I’m Captain Kimmer, Kimmer O’Reilly — sailor, survivor, and founder of a mission that shouldn’t be possible. Two-time blood cancer nearly took my life. When I survived, I expected joy. What came instead was an identity crisis. I didn’t know who I was anymore — just that the old me was gone. Then came Casper — my service dog, my best friend, my reason to fight forward. Now, Casper and I are doing something no one believes can be done: a nonstop solo circumnavigation of the globe… starting from the wrong side. We’re sailing east, into the wind and current, through the Southern Ocean and past the Cape of Good Hope — proving that after cancer, life isn’t over. It can be better than it ever was. But we’re not just breaking records. We’re launching a nonprofit to help cancer survivors rediscover purpose, identity, and joy. This GoFundMe isn’t just to keep our sails full. It’s to build something that lasts long after we return. Donate today — not just to help Casper and me sail around the world, but to help thousands of survivors believe they can start again. Let’s show the world what’s possible. 👉 https://bit.ly/BravestDogInTheWorld 🎼 🎵 MUSIC: 🎵 🎼 INTRO: Song: Chime & Nytrix - RunawayMusic provided by NoCopyrightSoundsFree Download/Stream: http://ncs.io/CN_Runaway OUTRO: Song: Coopex, KHEMIS - If Looks Can Kill [NCS Release] Music provided by NoCopyrightSounds Free Download/Stream: http://ncs.io/IfLooksCanKill Watch: http://NCS.lnk.to/IfLooksCanKillAT/youtube

As the sun sets, we set sail overnight toward Kuching, Sarawak (Malaysia). After clearing customs, our first mission is to visit the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre, home to rehabilitated orangutans living freely in the rainforest. Witnessing these incredible creatures in the wild is nothing short of magical—a perfect finale to our island-hopping adventure. 🗺️ In This Episode: Discovering the remote Anambas Islands Warm welcomes on Serasan Island Island scooter adventures Overnight passage to Kuching Clearing into Malaysia Visiting Semenggoh Wildlife Centre First wild orangutan encounter! 📍 Route: Anambas Islands (Indonesia) → Serasan Island → Kuching, Sarawak (Malaysia) Timestamps if you like to Jump Right In: 00:00 Intro 00:34 Anambas 04:57 Checking into Serasan 11:08 Leaving Serasan for Kuching Malaysia 13:42 Orangutans at the Semenggoh Wildlife Centre WHO ARE WE? Hey there! We’re Chris and Jo, an ordinary Aussie couple living our extraordinary dream aboard our Seawind 1260 since January 2019 and now we continue from 2024 aboard our new Seawind 1370! Our adventure began with an unforgettable journey down the east coast of Australia, followed by a sail to the stunning New Caledonia. In 2020, we continued our exploration further north, and by 2021 and 2022, we circumnavigated Australia, discovering breathtaking locations along the way. Having previously owned fishing and water-skiing boats, our passion for sailing deepened after crewing in South Australia, leading us to make the leap into full-time living at sea. We hope to inspire you, just as we were inspired by other YouTube channels, to chase your dreams and explore the wonders of this beautiful world. Bu videoda: Hangi karakter özellikleri teknede yaşamayı kolaylaştırır? Hangi psikolojik yapılar ilişkide ciddi sorunlara yol açar? Özgürlük ihtiyacı, kontrol etme isteği, esneklik ve kriz anları teknede nasıl sınanır? “Birlikte her şeyi yapalım” diyenlerle, “alan ihtiyacı olanlar” teknede neden zorlanır? - Voit tarjota meille kahvit, buy me a coffee sivuston kautta. -Voit seurata myös sosiaalisessa mediassa. At this year's Delta Lloyd Regatta everyone has stories and tales of their Olympic and sailing careers. But the tale of Father-Son Star combination John and Johnny Foster from the US Virgin Islands is unique. John, 73, and Johnny, 48, have sailed at three Summer Olympics together in the Star class. Their first was in Los Angeles, USA in 1994, their second came in Seoul, Korea 1988 and their last came in 1992 in Barcelona, Spain. Father John said, "We first joined forces in the Star for LA and we stayed with that programme through Barcelona and Korea. And we have been able to work together very nicely as a team as father and son on a boat." Johnny added, "We've done not only Star but loads through the Caribbean ever since I was nine hanging on the side and on the bow." John had previously sailed the Tempest at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, Germany and in Kingston, Canada in 1976. Not only that, John competed for the U.S. Virgin Islands at the 1988 Winter Games in Calgary, Canada with his son as first spare. The pair have been competing at ISAF Sailing World Cup regattas as they prepare to compete at the London 2012 Olympic Sailing Competition, England, for what will be John's seventh Games and Johnny's fourth. "We've had a good time so far and learnt and lot and met a lot of competitors and learnt everybody. It's been very useful to tune up against some of the top sailors," said John.
