Orpheus Island has always felt a little out of reach – a tiny slice of paradise with a price tag of $2395 a night! But on this trip, we were lucky enough to tie up to a free mooring buoy and soak in the magic without the luxury bill. From secluded beaches and a peaceful bush walk to a lookout with breathtaking views, to ending the day with freshly caught fish cooked aboard ARGO – it all felt like such a treat. We were especially excited to visit the Giant Clam Garden, though what we found left us deeply saddened after the events earlier this year. Still, this beautiful island gave us a moment to pause, reflect, and appreciate the journey so far. This was our stepping-stone before heading out to the reef – and we’re so glad we finally made it. We’re back on our sailboat in Spain and the stormy reality of winter boat life hits immediately 🌧️⛵️ After a winter break in Sweden, we fly back to our sailboat in A Coruña to continue our sailing journey toward the Mediterranean. Instead of sunshine and smooth sailing, we’re met by heavy rain, strong winds, and cold weather that keep us stuck in the marina. Just before returning to the boat, we went live on national television in Sweden, talking about our lifestyle change, quitting our jobs, and choosing life at sea. 📺 This video marks the beginning of Season 2 of Sail & Doxie, where we continue our sailing adventure through Europe, from the Atlantic into the Mediterranean - sharing the highs, lows, and everything in between. Next we test the cabin lights, before turning our attention to getting the mast wiring into the boat.
