She has sailed over 70 000 nautical miles over a period of 15 years, proving that she is both a reliable ocean cruiser as well as a comfortable home. With a spacious cockpit, plenty of seating with stylish outdoor cushions, a swim platform, expansive trampoline for sunbathing, and plenty of awnings to provide shade, the exterior is attractive and user friendly. Sliding doors lead from the cockpit into the saloon, where to starboard there is leather upholstered seating for 6 around a lovely bamboo topped dining table. The expansive chart table and navigation station are to port, with stairs leading down into the port hull where the galley is nestled amidships. Throughout, “Katlyn” is tastefully decorated in crisp white, subtle blues, and sandy beige finishes, creating a feeling of tranquillity and space, reflecting the crystal clear tropical waters and pristine beaches. A type of "Eurasian hobby" (Falco subbuteo) rested on top of KARMA's mizzen mast for some hours before giving us an incredible show of how the laws of land bird predators and pray can also be applied in the middle of the Ocean. Film was recorded 150 nautical miles away from the shores of Portugal on our 14th day of sailing from Netherlands to Canaries. We cross from Switzerland into Germany and drive through the Black Forest northwards along the Fairytale Road. We visit Heidelberg and then Berlin, before heading east towards the Czech Republic. We’ve pulled the kids from school and are home schooling while on the road and the water. We spend time aboard our 34ft sailing boat in NZ and have bought a motorhome in Europe so as to tour the other side of the world. We’re keeping our memories on video here and the kids write narration and play guitars so we have music to use in the videos.

It's our FINAL day in quarantine and we are elated with anticipation of getting out of the apartment after 15 days of quarantine! We are busy as bees, making granola and getting our bikes ready to hit the pavement as soon as we are freed. We need to pass 2 temperature tests though before we are given our "freedom papers". No garbage bags or messing around this time!! It's time to break out of jail! At the end of the video, there is a special surprise for you all and a thank you for supporting us through our quarantine. We had a lot of ups and downs, but in the end, we are thankful for all that we have been blessed with. Here is Brown KILLER granola recipe: Brown-Town Granola (adapted from Alton Brown) https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/granola-recipe-1939521 Ingredients 3 cups rolled oats 1 cup whole almonds 1 cup pecans/pumpkin seeds 3/4 cup shredded sweet coconut 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons regular molasses (not blackstrap because it is too bitter and salty) 1/4 cup coconut oil 3/4 teaspoon salt 1 tsp vanilla ½ tsp cinnamon Directions • Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. • In a large bowl, combine the oats, nuts, coconut, and brown sugar. • In a separate bowl, combine maple syrup, oil, and salt. Combine both mixtures and pour onto 2 sheet pans. Cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to achieve an even color. • Remove from oven and transfer into a large bowl. Add raisins and mix until evenly distributed. I like it really well cooked so leave it in longer if you like. Hi! This video is a little long but we have a lot going on. Please see below for time marks for specific information. As we continue our sailboat restoration, we want to bring you a closer look at the damage low level current does to sailboat bronze fittings. Also, on this episode we show you our efforts in faring the hull with Interlux Watertite, but once we ran out, we finished the little bit we had left with West System Epoxy Fairing with Filler. The reason we used the Interlux, is because it is a 2 part epoxy fairing which you mix on a 1:1 ratio. This makes it easy to mix and apply. On Reverie, our 34 ft sailboat we went through 2 liters of Watertite. We ran out almost at the end so we finished the remaining few sections using West Systems 105 Resin / 206 Slow Hardener / 410 Filler. We used the slow hardener so we had 20 - 25 minutes to apply the mix before it started setting. We show you a close view of the Rudder Shoe and what damage it suffered because of low level current. We also show you what the new Rudder Shoe looks like. Pearson seems to have used this same show system on the #pearson 323 as well.
