Criou-se, entre nós, uma amizade muito bonita e elogiada por pessoas amantes dos pets. Com o tempo, de forma natural e impeceptível, o cão passou a me obedecer em muita coisa, Inclisive não atravessandoa rua sem minha ordem. No mês que completei 66 anos, e o Thor 2,5 anos, por insistênica de amigos e principalmente da minha filha, comprei minha primeira bicicleta da vida. Quando fui pedalar a primeira vez meu corção partiu ao deixar meu amigo. Tentei coloco-lo no guidão, mas ele é grande e eu muito barbeiro. Então encostei a bike e não andei enquanto não comprei um reboque para puxá-lo. Como sou aventureiro por natureza, resolvi criar um desafio: sair de Morrinhos, GO, e chegar até Paraty, RJ, onde mora minha filha. Then we l progress to intermediate knots, examples include a bowline on a bight, anchor hitch, and halyard hitch. Next, we did advanced knots the double fisherman's bend, flying bowline, and trucker's hitch. We wrap up with some show knots: monkey fist, and flying cleat hitch. Truly a Seriously fun class. On the West Coast of Eleuthera, if the wind shifts around from the South or West, there's not a lot of anchorages to seek refuge. Rock Sound is one of those anchorages. Watching the weather, we could see a wind event was about to blow it and it was time to leave Governors Harbour for Rock Sound. We had some time, so we first stopped at Tarpum Bay to check it out. We only stayed two nights at Tarpum. We anchored out pretty far from shore due to rocks and the depth. Looking at the charts, it seemed to be 2/10 to 3/10 of a nautical mile. The first night we held just fine but the second night we moved further out, in fear of shifting winds and coming too close to rocks. That second spot, we had to drop anchor a few times to find decent holding but we could tell we were still dragging. I've read that the bottom is a thin layer of sand over rock, I believe. Rock Sound is huge and there's a well-stocked grocery story to provision. There's also several restaurants which are fairly decent, in case you get tired of cooking a meal. Rock Sound is huge with space for a ton of boats. However, toward the northern part of the sound there's a government dock and a channel to get to the dock. As you can see in the video, we were close to this deep water channel. Originally, we had planned to spend Easter there but because of the weather forecasts, we had some ideal wind to sail to the Exumas. So, we took the opportunity and ran with it. It is Austins first time skiing. He goes up the mountain alone and once he is at the top he realizes he doesn't know how to slow down or turn. He has a five huge crashes and ends up having to walk all the way down the mountain in ski boots. We go to a really cool restaurant that grow all their own food and farm there own sturgeon on site. We walk around after dinner and explore inside the greenhouses at everything we ate during dinner. We drive all the way back to Spain from Switzerland for Austin the polish the boat and sleep in the car for the night. Bayly tapes off the teak to prep for caulking. We drive from Spain the our place in Portugal. A lady at the truck stop says Austin looks like Ryan Gosling and he is in a better mood for the rest of the drive.

After spending three weeks in Key West, it was time to start making our way to Bimini and onward to Great Harbour Cay (GHC), Bahamas. We had some great sailing this year thus far, mostly due to the fact that we were not working full time and could choose our weather windows. Outside of getting around Cape Hatteras, we use very little fuel. It's so relaxing when it all comes together and we're able to turn off the motors and just listen to the wind and waves. It was good to be back in the Bahamas!
