We are still in Porto Santo and climbing with other Dutch sailors the 2 peaks the “Pico Branco” & “Terra Chã” São João is a festival in Porto Santo, celebrating the summer solstice and the patron Saint John the Baptist. 10 days long live music from local bands on 3 different stages. With a lot of good food and tasty beverages. Then there is the parade. The Marchas Populares. Full of color, brightness and joy, the groups that make up this parade are divided by 4 localities, Camacha, Campo de Baixo, Cidade and Campo de Cima. Every group has their own costumes, singing loud their own song with their own music and dances. Everybody is joining in, young and old. After the parade, we celebrated with a lot of ponchas and fireworks late into the night. Hope you enjoy! Year 2021, started with winter in La Spezia, and an early start of the season in mid March. Sailing the Ligurian and Tyrrhenian Seas, between Genoa and southern Sardinia, before participating in Cannes Yacht Festival boat show. Then via Badalona to Gran Canaria and sailing across the Atlantic as part of ARC 2021. The year ended with a delivery sail from St Lucia to Antigua. 7700 nautical miles added to total distance sailed on Swans

Ein Refit steht an. Doch Broterwerb und Verpflichtungen lassen es nicht zu, monatelang in Griechenland am Boot zu arbeiten. Da wird schon 2018 die Idee geboren Squib nach Wien zu bringen, wo man jederzeit Zugang hat, der Einkauf von Material in der Muttersprache abgewickelt werden kann und alles Andere seinen gewohnten Verlauf nimmt. 2021 war es dann endlich soweit, mit zwei komplett überholten Motoren und einem neuen Geräteträger starteten wir Anfang Juli Richtung Südfrankreich.Leider hatten wir für die gesamte Reise nur zwei Monate Zeit, deswegen hieß es die meiste Zeit Strecke machen. Doch manchmal nahmen wir uns die Zeit zu verweilen, uns Orte näher anzuschauen.
