Parmi les points forts, souvenons-nous du mano à mano de Boris Herrmann avec Justine Mettraux. Les deux skippers, presque bord à bord, avaient même réussi à se filmer. Arrivé douzième de la dernière édition, suite à une casse du foil bâbord, Boris Herrmann entend bien se relancer lors de la prochaine édition. Il a présenté les lignes directrices de l’architecture de son futur bateau dans le cadre d’une interview filmée avec Skippers magazine. « Plus étroit, plus de puissance et moins de résistance à l’eau », l’engin, dessiné par Antoine Koch, sera mis à l’eau le 19 juin 2026. ► Essai complet dans Multicoques Mag N°233. ► La Tortue 147 ne ressemble décidément pas vraiment à un multicoque de série… Ce catamaran-concept, apologie de la slow life, affiche en effet un design et des aménagement absolument uniques, avec sa nacelle qui rappelle une carapace de tortue, ses grands hublots façon vitraux, son siège de table à cartes suspendu et sa distribution des cabines qui rappelle celle d’un petit chalet de montagne. Même ambiance surprenante à l’arrière, où un modeste balcon suspendu tient lieu de cockpit. On est évidemment impressionné par les vitrages intégrés façon diamant au fond de la nacelle, pour finir la visite à peine surpris par la présence d’une belle plante verte dont la découpe du pot a été prévue dès la construction… Cette dernière, justement, a été assurée en Tunisie : elle adopte l’aluminium semi-épais pour une résistance optimale aux impacts. La carène présente deux spécificités : un bulbe est greffé sur chaque étrave de façon à amortir le tangage, et les élancements sont particulièrement importants à l’arrière. Là aussi, le but des architectes est d’offrir une plate-forme le plus stable possible, y compris en longitudinal. Deux ballasts de 1 200 litres chacun sont également prévus à l’arrière. Les longs quillons assortis aux skegs de safrans autorisent l’échouage. What a day at sea! In this episode of Sailing Mirage, Ella and I sail from Grand Turk to Providenciales in the beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands — and it truly turned into one of those unforgettable passages. We departed at 6:30 AM with a steady 16–18 knots of wind on the beam, sailing comfortably under full main and Code 0. The ocean was absolutely perfect — smooth, powerful, alive. Moments like this remind me why I love sailing so deeply… I might have gotten a bit sentimental there 😊 Ella was in her element, sunbathing on the aft deck, enjoying every minute of the passage. Then came the highlight: we caught a BIG mahi-mahi! It took almost an hour to reel her in — and this was Ella’s very first fish! The excitement on board was real and unforgettable. As if that wasn’t enough adventure, our arrival in Providenciales added a little spice. With strong wind, about 3 knots of current, and charts that were a bit off, we briefly ran aground near Donna Cay. Nothing serious — a passing motorboat wake lifted us free, and we anchored safely nearby. Just another reminder to stay humble at sea 😉 We end the day the best way possible: fried fresh mahi-mahi, dinner in the cockpit, and a bottle of Mumm’s Champagne 🥂 Sunset, good food, great company — what more could you ask for?
