Not being able to find the parts I need for the bilge pump, I decide to 3D print a design of my own. I also make some Fibreglass protectors for the horse traveller and ring to help protect when the ring bangs the edges of the boat. I also bought a new anchor for the Lugger. I need a larger one and also one more suited to the UK shoreline which is largely sand, silt and mud!! Last thing is that I have now chosen and had signs made for a new name for the Lugger. The West Solent was the sports boat of its day; probably the first in the UK to be series built. Perhaps the most successful and elegant inshore waters racer/ cruiser ever to grace UK waters, they look equally as good at rest as at play. 31 boats were built by Berthon Boat Company for UK clients between 1923 and 1933, with fleets developing at Lymington, Torbay, and on the east coast. MISCHIEF has sailed there, and much further afield including cruising Europe's western seaboard to the Mediterranean in the 1980s. She has undoubtedly benefited from having just one loving owner since 1991; very well set up for short handed cruising and occasional racing. This week on our family sailing adventure, we go inland to continue exploring the vibrant island of Grenada! Addy movies to the beat on the bus, we swim and jump at the stunning Annandale Waterfall, and spot a cheeky monkey in the trees. In St. George’s, we wander through the colourful spice market, grab some fresh nutmeg, and learn how chocolate is made at the House of Chocolate, with a little taste test, of course! Addy and I visit the gorgeous Tower Estate gardens, and we move our boat to True Blue, where we enjoy sweet land showers, relaxing poolside, and I finally catch up on some video editing. Grenada’s been full of flavour, adventure, and calm moments, and next, we sail to Curaçao!

Sailing from Galicia to the Canary Islands, a night of drifting, patience, and chasing the wind. 🌊⛵ After the lightning storm, we were caught in a long windless calm and motored for almost four full days. Fuel was running low, just enough to enter the harbor. Will we reach the Canary Islands in time for Christmas? With no other option, we turned off the engine and simply drifted across the Atlantic, waiting for the wind to return. Finally, the awaited gusts arrived, carrying us toward our destination.
