Igor Lah's Team CEEREF, which went into this regatta as the leading boat after the first two events of the 2018 RC44 season, carried on its excellent form off Marstrand today, posting the fleet's best results. On a day of light winds but with big shifts and a generally unstable pattern, Team CEEREF started well, winning Race 1 and followed that with a fourth place in Race 2 and a third position in Race 3. Second overall in the sunshine on Marstrand Fjord, on a day of tight racing in this highly competitive one-design fleet, was John Bassadone's Peninsula Petroleum. Rounding out the podium today was Bronenosec Sailing Team from Russia skippered by Kirill Frolov who were making their debut in the class this season, having missed the first two events. In this episode we are checking in to Costa Rica and visiting the National park with our two friends Claire and Anne-Myrthe. We also get visited by a lot of birds on the boat that are building nests and just come annoy us 😂 If you come sailing into Costa Rica and want to check in then first do the portscaptain (ask them for bankdetails and referenc so you you ca pay 20 dollars when checking out before seeing them at the checkout for the Zarpe) , then immigration, then customs. (You need 4 copies of everything, paports, crewlist, boatpapers, zarpe last port. If you are friendly the guys at the immigration will do that for you if you) Checking out of Costa Rica you first do immigration, then Customs, then go to the bank and pay 20 dollars for the ports captain and then you go to the ports captain office. Easiest driving around With a car or walking up and down will take around 3 hours If you rent a car use an suv!! Other cars youll break with all the holes in the road.
