The only hitch was that without a working echo sounder (to check the depth) we were sort of sailing in the blind. Our visit to the Hong on day 1 was a complete chaos and we got stuck in low tide. A midnight departure, glassy seas, and a solo crossing from Italy to Greece. Everything was smooth, with no surprises… until I saw something strange in the water. Unseren ersten vollständigen Tag in Bangkok haben wir total ausgeschöpft. Der erste Weg führte uns in der Khaosan Road zu einem Friseur für Annette. Für 300 THB (ca. 7,60 €) erhielt sie wieder einen weltreisetauglichen Kurzhaarschnitt. Das MBK lud uns als gelernte deutsche Kaufmänner zu einer Entdeckungsreise ein. Hungrig von all den Eindrücken testeten wir ein paar neue Sachen und Annette entdeckte ein weiteres geschmackliches Highlight auf der Reise: einen Black Sesam Pie. Lecker!!! Motiviert brachen wir zum nächsten Shopping Center auf, was bequem per Skytrain erreicht werden konnte: dem Terminal 21. Von diesem außergewöhnlichen Gebäude hatten wir im Vorfeld von anderen Bloggern erfahren und waren froh dem Tipp gefolgt zu sein. Abends ging es dann noch zu einem Nachtmarkt.
