Criou-se, entre nós, uma amizade muito bonita e elogiada por pessoas amantes dos pets. Com o tempo, de forma natural e impeceptível, o cão passou a me obedecer em muita coisa, Inclisive não atravessandoa rua sem minha ordem. No mês que completei 66 anos, e o Thor 2,5 anos, por insistênica de amigos e principalmente da minha filha, comprei minha primeira bicicleta da vida. Quando fui pedalar a primeira vez meu corção partiu ao deixar meu amigo. Tentei coloco-lo no guidão, mas ele é grande e eu muito barbeiro. Então encostei a bike e não andei enquanto não comprei um reboque para puxá-lo. Приехали на Корфу на пароме из Игуменицы. В первый день взяли экскурсию на городском автобусе по столице острова Керкире. Посетили мышиный остров, венецианскую крепость и погуляли по старому городу... На второй день закончили прогулки по столице. После обеда взяли машину на прокат (на 3 дня) и поехали в Палеокстрицу. Добрались за 40 минут. Взяли экскурсию на лодке по близлежащим пляжам, гротам и пещерам... Посетили известный бар на берегу "La Grotta" После чего заглянули в монастырь "Живописный источник" (рядом с пляжем). После монастыря купались на местном пляже. К вечеру поехали на смотровую площадку "Bella Vista", которая находится в деревне Лaконос на высоте 400 м. над уровнем моря. Все обзорные экскурсии непременно туда заезжают. Шикарный вид сверху на Палеокастрицу. Рядом с обзорной площадкой находятся пара кафешек. После смотровой площадки поехали в "Golden Fox" - таверна и гостиничный комплекс сразу же по дороге за смотровой площадкой "Bella Vista". Hа ночь остановились в "Golden Fox" На следующий день после завтрака поехали дальше на Север в деревню Паги. По пути заехали в крепость Анжело Кастро (находится на вершине горы - вид панорамный на побережье - БОМБА !!!) Продолжили путь в направлении деревни Паги. Там в свое время проходили семки фильма о Джеймс Бонде "Только для твоих глаз" с участием Роджера Мура. Посетили таверну СПИРОС, которая. также фигурирует в фильме. Хозяин таверны снимался в массовке фильма (но он умер 30 лет назад в возрасте 60 лет и таверной управляет его дочь. Сделали совместное фото - на видео она постеснялась засветится). Пообщался с работником таверны. Кроме того на улице встретил местного жителя в доме которого был Роджер Мур (воспользовался тогда его туалетом) Пoсле деревни Паги поехали в Сидари - населенный пункт в 12 км от Паги на Север. Проплыл по каналу любви Следующая остановка - населенный пункт - Касиопи. Прибыли туда под вечер. Шикарная бухта, кафешки, ресторанчики. Погуляли, поужинали, остался на ночь в Касиопи... Утром нужно было возвращаться в столицу острова так как на следующий день после обеда надо было возвращать машину, а нам еще надо было посетить известный дворец Ахиллион... Там так же проходили семки фильма о Джеймс Бонде. После посещения дворца целый день провели на одном из пляжей Керкиры. Episode 2: Our first big storm and it was a blustery one!! 😳 Paying attention to our weather as we do, we noticed a week of storms were upon us with predicted 30 knots of consistent wind and rain. Boy were we surprised when suddenly we found ourselves in 53 knots of wind with driving rain! Thankfully we made the choice to tie up and tuck into a marina in the Gulf of Kotor Montenegro. We had just enough time to secure and manage our lines, walk 3 miles to the store to make sure we had enough provisions for the coming stormy days before we tucked in down below. Lots of laughs, met Great Slip Neighbors and Hang on for the ride. Gitte has also grown up with boats and spent every summer sailing with her father as a teenager but made a pause of about 15 years without sailing as an adult, had just begun to pick-up the interest before she meet Anders in 2017. Onboard we also have our cat Litza a 4 year old Devon Rex we call her the cattain because cats always decide over their humans. Fridá af Wisby is a Wauquiez 47 pilot saloon that we Gitte and Anders bought in UK in 2019 and that we have sailed to Gotland and in season 1 2020 we sail in the Baltic Sea. During season 2 We sailded south to Dieppe Normandy France. After a winter in France in Season 3 we started to sail the Atlantic coast of Europe to Xufre in Spain where we lifted the boat over the summer while we where back in Gotland to work at our hostel we got there. Season 4 got a short sailing season where we only sailed to Lagos on the Algarve coast of Portugal where we hauled out once again this time to go throug a long list of boatwork and to build a solar arch to make the boat more self-suficient with electricity. After 6 months in Lagos we kicked-off season 5 with real bluewater sailing first to the northerly Atlantic island Porto Santo and Madeira and then further out to the Azores that lays in the middle of the Atlantic ocean before turning back towards the mainland and south coast of Portugal again.

By living a more minimalistic and sustainable lifestyle, she has provided us with a better work/life balance and has taught us to live and be present more in the moment. Tāiko has also taught us to be more independent and less reliant on services. Some of these experiences have taken us out of our comfort zone many times but as the saying goes, ‘a comfort zone is a wonderful place but nothing grows there’. Our plan is to do blue water cruising. So, over the next year we will be completing some maintenance work on Tāiko and be getting her ready to meet New Zealand’s category 1 requirements to be able to go offshore. Sometimes the most simple tasks are painfully difficult! Definitely the case with setting up these new clips on bungee cording. The lower M section of our lazy jack system deteriorated after 8 years. I temporarily used paracord but that didn't work as well as the bungee cord. Wir haben das Rennen verloren und liegen bei Sturm in Cape Carneval. Dann erreichen uns Markus uns Nadine mit dem Mietwagen und machen uns auf zu den Bahamas. Natürlich kreuzen wir den Golfstrom bei schlechten Bedingungen und werden ordentlich durchgeschaukelt. Dafür kommen wir aber super vorran. Leider verläßt uns in den Bahamas die Technik und wir haben nicht viel Material für 14 Tage. Es war eine tolle Zeit mit tollen Freunden. Hoffentlich bis zum nächsten mal! Viel Spaß

A Better Water Pump! - Overview First, sorry, this is a long one, but skip over any parts that bore you. If you have a marine diaphragm water pump that has started to act up and either doesn't run or sounds sporadic when it's running, this may be a pretty easy and inexpensive fix to repair it, just by replacing the pressure switch. We have a Pentair SHURflo pump that starting acting up after a year and this repair has been tested out for about 6 months and is working great! If you want to prevent this problem from occurring again, there are also instruction on how to upgrade the pump so that the switch doesn't wear out again. After an incredible micro-season sailing in the Bahamas, it was time to head back to the U.S.! We anchored just off West End to stage for an early morning departure, but it turned out to be a rough night. The anchorage was *super* rolly, and we were more than happy to lift anchor and get underway. Luckily, the crossing back to the U.S. was smooth sailing with calm seas and fair winds. Spotting land was a welcome sight, but it felt like it took forever to actually get there! Once we arrived, we were treated to a delicious dinner with friends—exactly what we needed after a long day on the water. The next day was all business. We ran into an issue getting a new cruising permit, which meant a trip to see the officials. Not exactly the welcome back we’d hoped for, but part of the adventure nonetheless! We got to enjoy some of that Florida sun and beautiful beach time too!
