Here are a few of the boat upgrade projects I'm working on this winter (2018) for our Skipper 20. New rear rail jerry jug rack, aluminum radar reflector (from old pans) and the rear rail outboard motor mount/hanger for the planned dinghy OB. Also will be installing a 11.25 gallon fresh water tank under the cockpit later when the boat gets uncovered. Was just going to put the water pump on a mount in the cabin but now figuring to add a small sink too. I need someplace to put the stove to cook below so thinking inside the sink would be a great place and take care of two things in one. This way if we get caught in bad weather for a day we can cook and get cleaned up down in the cabin.

Vlog #30 In San Blas, Mexico, we are finally getting out mast put back in! The awesome guys at the boat yard had never attempted it before but we decided to try anyway, with a boat lift! haha They assured us they could make it happen! Luckily after a lot of readjusting we finally got it in. We put the dingy back in the water, finished reattaching the rigging and got all the sails reattached. The sails were very quick and easy, just kidding we put them up wrong multiple times haha. We then took a trip with some friends we had made to la tovara which is a crocodile sanctuary! Was such a beautiful ride and atmosphere. We swam in the fresh water and jumped off the swing ropes, was a great day! --------------------------------- *WHO ARE WE?* •We are a Canadian couple, Travis and Jessica. If the regatta format is more your thing, Italy’s Tre Golfi Sailing week offers a mix of inshore and offshore racing. The event, which is now in its 68th year, begins with an offshore tour of the Bay of Naples.

In this video, we share our experience of receiving a Tsunami warning while living on our catamaran off the coast of New Zealand. We heard the warning sirens blaring and were immediately faced with a potentially life-and-death decision. Despite an evacuation order, we made the quick decision to move our boat to a safer location. A magnitude 8.1 earthquake had hit the Kemadec Islands off the coast of New Zealand, triggering a Tsunami warning. We were unsure of how big the Tsunami would be, but we knew we had to act fast. The question remained, was our decision to move the boat to a safer location the right one? Following the Tsunami warning, we took a break from work to upgrade our boat and explore the northernmost part of New Zealand. Through this video, we hope to share our experience and offer some insight into how to deal with a Tsunami warning when living on a boat.
