It was down to the final race on the final day to determine first, second, and third, with the Royal Thames Yacht Club, the New York Yacht Club, and Eastern Sailing Club, respectively, grabbing the podium finishes. The New York Yacht Club certainly had the biggest come back of the race, climbing from ninth to second place during the last few days. Skipper of the NYYC team, Paul Zabetakis, knew the team had to dig in to be successful, however he knew is team would ultimately be able to do it. Congratulations to the team and all the competitors!

This video shows what it's like at the spring in Blue Spring State Park, which is just north of Orlando, Florida. This is one of Florida's best fresh water springs and we enjoyed seeing all the Alligator gar. It's a common snorkeling location that get's lots of tourist since it's close to Orlando. In the winter there are often Manatees here! We went over the summer and weren't able to find any. There are often freedivers here due to the fairly deep cave shown in the video.

Wir, Sabina und Peter sind seit 2014 Eigner eines 42 Jahre alten Catalac 9m´s Pocketcatamarans. Wie der Name schon sagt 9m lang und maximal 4,3 m breit. In den ersten Jahren segelten wir damit ausschließlich in griechischen Gewässern, 2021 brachten wir unser Boot innerhalb von 10 Wochen von Griechenland quer durchs Mittelmeer nach Südfrankreich, wo wir Squib, so heißt unser Boot, auf ein Flussboot umbauten und über die europäischen Inlandswasserwege in unsere Heimatstadt Wien brachten. Jetzt steht es in Wien Kuchelau an Land und wird von uns einem Refit unterzogen, der das Ziel hat ein Blauwasserreiseboot für eine Zweiercrew daraus zu machen., die damit den Atlantik überqueren will, um abseits der Trampelpfade die Karibik zu bereisen. Erstes großes Ziel wäre es, eine Wintersaison in den Bahamas zu verbringen.

If it's not the speedboats here keeping us awake it's the storms here in Cartagena anchorage. But other then that Cartagena Colombia is a great place to work on you boat, you can honestly find ever part you can think of. Its really a use and reuse country, they can fix everything. And it's affordable, prices for food and material are cheaper then i've ever seen traveling. PMS Women is the Croatian abbreviation for the Historic Mediterranean Gathering of Women. This ambiguous term is actually the name of a quite unusual regatta which is traditionally organised on the International Women’s Day by the Host Sailing Club from Vis. On Thursday evening, on the International Women’s Day, a major demographic change will occur on the island of Vis. The afternoon ferry from Split will bring to the island the participants of the fourth edition of the PMS Women regatta. According to Suzi Kraljević, the regatta secretary, this year the match race regatta in Vis will feature seven crews from five countries, with sailing taking place from Friday to Sunday. PMS Women is in many ways a unique regatta: it is the only one in Croatia where only women are allowed to participate; it is organised in early March, at the time of the year when few people would even think of going out to the sea; it is one of few regattas taking place on the island, without outside help and thanks just to organisational efforts and infrastructure of the local sailing club. In accordance with the international character of the Women’s Day, the PMS Women has become a genuinely international regatta. This year, it will feature three Croatian crews and one each from Austria, Hungary, Montenegro and Slovakia.

It's freezing today,but we go down to the boatyard regardless as we have some things to dry fit and a big new project to start. We firstly have a play with oars. We test the new paddle/oars we made and then we also found out how to actually stow the original Drascombe oars properly too....Who knew!! We then test out the new padeyes i', going to use for the flying jib and possibly spinnaker sheets and lastly have a look at a big new project I am now thinking will be a bit of a challenge!!!
