Two days ago I thought I was losing my boat and everything I owned with it. One day ago I was kitesurfing around a tropical island with sharks chasing me. Today I woke up to the most incredible sunrise I have every seen over glassy smooth water! But to make things even better, I got to see the sunrise twice. Once from my DJI Mavic 2 Zoom drone. High up and well over all the islands. And again when the sunlight pierced through the mangroves of the islands surrounding me. This cluster of rock islands and central Sandy Cay are amazing! But unfortunately I could not stay and enjoy them more. Due to COVID-19 restricting, we both had to get a five day COVID test after entering the country. So our day was spent traveling further into the Bahamas. On our way to Green Turtle Cay to get our test. We enjoyed beautiful conditions. Filling our time with surfing, swimming/dragging behind the sailboat, playing the ukulele, and even a close visit from some very friendly dolphins. Although we weren't strictly sailing, it was a beautiful day on the water the whole way, till our destination, Aleen Pensacola Cay. . . . Around the Precision Sail Loft is a collection of videos showing the day to day projects that happen around the loft. Precision Sails is often perceived to be an online loft. We are very proud of our online presents and our ability to help people all over the world get high quality replacement sails. However, we are a local loft in Victoria British Columbia Canada. We provide sail repair, sail recutting and we can also do canvas work. Building new sails is something that we can do, and have done in the past, however we have found that if we design the sails in our loft and have them produced in the appropriate loft overseas we get a better product at a price that sailers are willing to pay for.

Over four of the most difficult days of racing in 44Cup history, an impressive seven races were still held at the 44Cup Calero Marinas Lanzarote frequently in 5-6 knots wind, conditions, frankly, in which most other yachts would have been unable to race. The schedule for the final day of racing, off the blackened alien landscape of Lanzarote’s south coast, was brought forward by two hours to 1000 UTC. PRO María Torrijo had made this call in order to provide the best window of opportunity to race given the forecast of a fourth day of light winds in this usually windy venue.

As is usual with this fleet of high performance owner-driver one designs, the results were close going into the final day with Team Aqua, Team Nika and Aleph Racing separated by just one point for the lead. But today’s results would not only have a bearing on the event scoreline, but on those overall for the season.

Mancano ormai poche ore alla partenza della 52a edizione della Transpacific Yacht Race (Transpac), che per la classe dei multiscafi prenderà il via sabato 1 luglio alle 11:55 ora locale (18:55 UTC; 20:55 ora italiana) da Pt. Fermin, Los Angeles, tracciando un percorso di 2225 miglia fino al traguardo al largo di Diamond Head, Honolulu, Hawaii. I multiscafi chiuderanno la flotta di circa sessanta imbarcazioni, partita a scaglioni nei giorni scorsi. Giovanni Soldini, sulla starting line insieme all’equipaggio di Maserati Multi70, composto da Guido Broggi (ITA), Oliver Herrera Perez (ESP), Francesco Malingri (ITA), Francesco Pedol (ITA), Matteo Soldini (ITA) e Lucas Valenza-Troubat (FRA), sfiderà i due MOD 70 americani Argo, con skipper Jason Carroll e navigatore Brian Thompson, e Orion, con skipper Justin Shaffer. A causa di un problema doganale, il container di appoggio su cui viaggiano il set di vele da competizione e le appendici volanti, non è ancora sbarcato a Los Angeles e il team di Maserati Multi70 non ha potuto riconfigurare l’assetto in vista della sfida sportiva. A quel punto mure a sinistra fino alle Hawaii.” La Transpac è la regata d’altura più rilevante del Pacifico e tra gli ostacoli che la caratterizzano c’è la prossimità con il Pacific trash vortex, la cosiddetta isola di plastica, che per i naviganti significa alto rischio di collisioni. Dazcat 1150 Bare Necessities and 1195 Sueños take us with them on their epic race from Falmouth UK to Ponte Delgado, Azores. It's the 2023 AZAB and initially five multihulls had been due to race, but in the end only the two Dazcats crossed the start line. Both Dazcats are racing 2-up. Bruce and Alison on board Bare Necessities and Rupert and Alan on Sueños are informative, funny, and at times heart wrenchingly honest as they grapple with the unforgiving elements, then sharing their delight at the beautiful scenery and wildlife...Life as it is on a Dazcat, right out there in the deep blue openness... Sueños is racing with their washing machine installed, while Bare Necessities is, well, bare. Somewhat unbelievably after all that distance and routing decisions (quite apart from the preceding 1200 miles, BN rounded the island to the finish to the south while Sueños went west), Sueños finished just about 5 hours behind Bare Necessities on elapsed time and an astounding 7 minutes only on corrected!
