Good morning from the boatyard! This past week has been difficult and demoralizing. A big reason why I've not yet gotten to answering many comments and messages on my social media channels. What seems like endless sanding has finally been completed though. I've taken off all that I needed to. And now it's time to start filling things back in and then adding layers. The empty blisters from the bottom of my boat are now ready to be filled with epoxy. I've removed a section of the aft most lifeline stanchion. This was by far the most satisfying work I've done this past week. And will have an immediate and useful effect on my boats usability once out at anchor. I am starting to get the feeling that one project has lead to another. For example, because I wanted to paint the back of my boat I've had to remove my swim platform. Because I've done than I might as well make a stronger support backing for it. Because I want to do that I now need to source new material and probably hire a professional carpenter. But once these strings of tasks are completed. I think my sailboat will be gorgeous. Only time will tell, stay tuned. :)

Riverside Marina, now renamed Heritage Boat Yard on the Eastern central coast of Florida. This marina has gotten a bad reputation over the years. But after nearly a month here. I don't think it's nearly accurate. I actually really like this boat yard. I can do any project to my boat that I want. The other boaters here working on their boats are super helpful. And the staff here is super helpful. As well I talk about the projects I've done so far and will be doing soon so my sailboat is ready to splash back in the water again. Cheers!

I got the chance to film this North Pacific Yachts 49 Euro Pilothouse during a boat show called Trawlerfest in Baltimore earlier this fall. This yacht is an amazing long distance cruiser. It is a rugged and low maintenance boat with a modern appeal. It's also a great option as a liveaboard. The owners actually live on board for the majority of the year! Because of the traffic on board throughout my time filming I was unable to film the engine room. You gain access to the single engine (or engines depending on selected options) through hatches in the main salon floor. I discuss engine specs and capabilities towards the end of the tour. I wish I had more time on board but maybe in the future I will be able to revisit this one in a more private setting. I hope you all have a fantastic Holiday!
