Akin to her robust exterior, the interior is just as magical and spacious. It’s usually a question of more space – a bigger beach club, a gym or a stellar master cabin. But it’s quite rare to get a new boat built primarily to carry a larger tender. Nevertheless, this is how it was for the proud owner of the first Flexplorer to emerge from the young Italian yard Cantiere delle Marche last autumn – 39 meters of elegant go-anywhere yacht. Customization has been key to the brand’s market appeal and the Flexplorer series offers alternative layout solutions without the need for radical re-engineering. There is no doubt that Aurelia is capable of ‘real’ exploring. In the CDM conference room sits a sample of the hull plating used for all its yachts. The heavy steel plate is 12mm thick – 4mm more than the standard required by Class. The extra-thick steel adds robustness but also extra weight down low in the vessel where it is most needed to enhance stability and comfort. Another prerequisite for an explorer yacht is long-range. Aurelia can cruise 5,000 nautical miles on her twin CAT C32 engines with a heavy-duty rating and a fuel capacity of 60,000 liters. Life at a marina is different than life at sea or life on land. It's sort of a comprise between the two. Pros: -Security: Your boat will not drag anchor or get blew away in anything short of a Cat 5 hurricane. -Convivence: Everything you could need is a quick car ride away or delivered to your slip just like with a land home. -Neighbors: You can meet some of the best and most helpful sailors here. -Homebase: It's a great place to catch your breath, do projects and prepare for leaving once again. -Ocean Access: Most days I can take out my dinghy or paddleboard and see what's going on out on the water. Cons: -$$$: It costs similar rent a 1br apartment in that particular area. -Noise: Trains, planes & automobiles are just a few things I don't miss about this lifestyle. Out on anchor it's just the waves and the wind. -Neighbors: Sometimes the people around you are not the nicest(drunk, smoking, loud, rude). -Privacy: With soo many boats and soo many people all around it can be hard to feel like you've got true privacy on your boat. Unlike being out on anchor. -Becoming Lazy: A boat, especially a sailboat is meant to be out on the water. Not sit at a marina. Often a nice marina like this can turn into a trap if you're not careful. I hope this description and this video gives you a better idea of what life at the marina is like. Join me on a full tour of this INSANE Majesty 140 superyacht by Gulf Craft. This super yacht is everything you'd want in a 140 foot vessel! Some highlights of this yacht include three beautiful decks, a hydraulic transformer/swim platform, jacuzzi, tender garage, multiple balconies, and so much more! This yacht won multiple awards when it debuted including Best in Show at FLIBS 2019 and Best Interior Design in the 30-50m category at the 18th edition of the World Yachts Trophies at the Cannes Yachting Festival. We take a wild route on this tour trying to capture all areas. Right off the back of the yacht you find a transformer/swim platform that sits flush when stowed.
