The 3rd and final day of racing was yet another breezy day out in the Sir Francis Drake Channel. Smile and Wave brought home first place in the one design Melges 32 Class. They're already looking for more challengers for next year's BVI Spring Regatta.

Big progress on the project list this week. I finally got Karl's holes welded. It was quite exciting and I am really happy that it is done. I also started to use some paint remover to go down to bare aluminum so it will be easier to apply the etch primer. It was all about the painters this week as they raced against the ensuing storms to spray the first couple of layers of Awlgrip 545 primer. The painters weren't the only ones getting messy, Mey managed to paint most of her face as she tackled the various deck lockers. Day 1 saw a rainy start to The BVI Spring Regatta. And with the rain came plenty of wind. Earlier in the week,competitors enjoyed the Festival portion of the BVI Spring Regatta and Sailing Festival with light wind racing, a party on the beach, and a day dedicated to Tortola Island Heritage.
