Innovativo nella sua realizzazione, il ragno di acciaio sul quale si scaricano tutte gli sforzi sostenuti dalla barca, integra la gabbia della deriva e gli omega ai quali si allacciano le lande, scaricando così lo scafo di ogni sollecitazione.
