What was supposed to be a quiktrip to deliver gear to the property turned into a half day work trip. We took a few minute break and decided to wander the property a bit.

there is more than a foot of snow on the ground and it is rhe middle of December. We need to bring gear and supplies to the cabin in the woods and the only way to get there is with tire chains...

A productive day without any problems wouldnt be complete without some sort of drama! The v-bar chains turn the F-350 diesel into a skidder, but just when I thought it couldnt get stuck...

With temperatures dipping below 0 Celsius recently I was reminded of how cold the cabin sole can get. Last winter I put down some foam mats and carpet, but I wanted to make something a little better for this winter. It is the first night and already I haven't had to wear my slippers as the floor is MUCH warmer now! A little video put together from our 5 day sail from Crete to Malta. Some bad weather for the first 24 hours, first encounter with water spouts (we ran into 4 in one day..)! Finally caught some Tuna trawling.. after 3 months worth of trawling in the Med.. Arrived in in beautiful Malta, and discovered a few problems: -The bilge was pumping more than usual.. turns out the 'stuffing box' is taking in water. -The auto pilot was also making strange creaking noises.. Riley climbed into the TINY stern cabin (which I believe an octopus would struggle to squeeze into) and the rudder has broken free of its casing.. we believe when we ran aground in Turkey this is what has caused it.. better we have discovered this now rather than half way across the Atlantic.. -Also the wind speed indicator has given up on life. Protagonista del filmato che vi mostriamo non è un AC72, ne tantomeno un GC32 o un Flying Phantom: ma l'intramontabile Hobie Cat. Questo documentario, dal nome "Sharing The Wind" fu prodotto nel 1979, e resta probabilmente quello a più alto contenuto di adrenalina mai realizzato.
