I think we all go through cycles of high and low energy depending on what's going on in our individual lives at the time, and for me the past several months have harbored some challenges I could have done without.. but then it is time to get back to basics and re-learn to remember and appreciate the things we have and the people in our lives that make our days worth living... so when a friend suggested to try a "Grateful Challenge", I gave it some serious thought and decided, why not?! Certainly can't hurt anything and could end up being fun and even a positive experience for some of you that decide to share in it! Some of you will likely be thinking, "uh oh, Rick's losing his mind already", Lol... but I can assure you it's nothing of the kind... NB! A big thanks to all of you who have contributed with different theories on my previous videos as to what could be the cause of my engine problems. I appreciate the help very much! Now it's time to take a closer look :) My lovely 42-year old Volvo Penta MD6A has started losing oil. Before either doing a rebuild or getting a new engine, I want to try something that may seem like a bit fo a hail mary. Lec Wec supposedly can bring life back to worn gaskets and so on. Getting ready to get ready for boating,sailing

In this video I'm looking at an Ericsson 31 Independence sailboat and also an Island Packet 27. Both sailboats were for sale on the Chesapeake Bay. The Ericsson 31 was located in the southern bay at Topping, Virginia. I made an offer to buy the Ericsson 31 which fell through. I also chartered the Island Packet 27 for several days out of Rock Hall Maryland with my two sons. Our friend Capt. Don Bocutti, sailing instructor at the Maryland school of Sailing and seamanship is also in the Island Packet segment. There is alot entailed in finding the right sailboat and this video shows two boats that I was interested in. after spending time in both boats, and after the time I have spent in other sized sailboats (14, 27, 31, 32, 50, 60), i am feeling like a boat in the 35-42 foot range would be good for Amy and I.
