The LeisureCat 8000 Sportsfisher has one-piece windscreen giving greater forward vision while still retaining strength and safety. Sliding side windows are standard and can be slid forward or back to give plenty of fresh air flow. The seating is moulded into the superstructure giving increased storage and allows for the installation of an optional galley that includes a 2-burner stove, sink and 12v fridge. The hardtop comes with an internal liner with gloss gelcoat finish giving a very smart appearance. It includes a moulded console for radio and CD player. The cockpit coaming have been flatened off to allow large rods and reels to be fitted as well as giving a comfortable leaning/seating position. On the comfort side, there is a double berth cabin with standing room for dressing and an electric toilet. A lid is fitted that can be lowered over the toilet/dressing area to make one huge sleeping area. Other standard luxuries include bolsters along insides of gunwales, 120 lt freshwater tank, freshwater transom shower, saltwater deck wash, electric amchor winch, marlin board extension with stainless dive ladder, and many more. Together with Sander we fly the Pancake to a meeting in Berlin. During take off on Berlin Schonefeld the right tyre bursts just before rotate. Luckily Sander decides to rotate so we don't block a whole international airport. Sander makes a nice landing on 2 wheels before we end up in the middle of the runway at Lelystad. New experience, new tyre, no further damage...

Aber das war ihnen zu wenig. Die Eheleute haben schließlich bei ALDI eingekauft und mir Sprit vermacht, den sie aus ihrem Aussenborder abpumpten." Aber kleine Herausforderung gibt es immer wieder. "Gestern morgen verlor ich den Deckel vom Aussenborder. Der Sicherungsring hatte sich wohl aufgezogen. Meine SMS nach Tönning hat dann das kleine Heimat-Unterstützer-Team wirbeln lassen. Ein Deckelersatz war in 2 Std. bei der Post. Ich kann ihn in Lingen bei der Post abholen."

The latest LeisureCat 7000 Gamefisher is designed with a large, uncluttered deck that is so desired by fishermen, divers, rescue and police groups alike. After requests from fishermen for a larger version of the very popular 8000 Sportsfisher, LeisureCat/AussieCat Australia have taken the tough 9000 Profisher hull and added an open-plan superstructure similar to the 8000 model. With its overall length of 9.95m (32'6") and 2.9m (9'6") beam, the 9000 Kingfisher is everything the offshore sports fisherman needs. The large, open deck space has plenty of room for a game chair and clear vision for the helmsman to assist the fisherman at the business end of the rod. Comforts have still been catered for with a huge double berth and stand-up dressing area in forward cabin and electric toilet.
