www.mauisails.com The Scream is MauiSails high performance, RAF, freeride slalom sail and has experienced tremendous popularity since its release. The Scream incorporates many design features from our TR series race sails, such as a lower aspect ratio, progressive twist and cut out clew. With the lower aspect ratio and more pronounced lower profile the Scream focuses it’s power closer to the riders body, while the progressive leech twist responds perfectly for maximum efficiency giving the Scream outstanding power, control and wind range. On the water, the Scream is incredibly fast and balanced, putting fear into the hearts of cambered sails in a straight line, while the RAF design and light weight make it effortless in the jibes.

A quick overview of when we installed LED lights in our sailboat. What to think of and what to look out for. Easy, cheap and a great way to save on power and at the same time make the interior of your boat/sailboat look more inviting. We've used 300 LED/m with 170 lm/m, CRI value of 86. Read up on CRI (Color rendering index LED) here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_rendering_index

The storms keep coming and we're stuck on Vlieland. Two days later there is finally a gap in the weather and we leave to sail to The Hague in the south part of The Netherlands. We meet heavy rain, winds of 25 knots gusting to 30 and high and steep waves outside Vlieland. Not a good start of a 15 hour leg! Malin get sea sick and is out for the rest of the day. We arrive to Scheveningen Marina in The Hague at midnight and can finally get some good rest. The next couple of days we walk in to the center, clean the boat and give you guys a round tour of the boat. We are a Swedish couple who wanted a different kind of life. So we moved aboard our sailboat RAN, a custom built Beason 40 in aluminium, untied the lines in the middle of the Swedish winter, January 2016, and started sailing south along the coast of Europe. There is no set route and we will go where the wind and our minds take us. Passing the point of no return, the 67 footer sported a flybridge! This “flying deck” of motor yacht origins had, until then, represented a line which the La Rochelle-based builder was not going to cross. This caveat was based on the convictions of Jean-François Fountaine, who believed that an irreverent crows-nest had no place on catamaran, especially one under 65’. The appearance of the Victoria raised eyebrows among FP fans over this “trendy” comfort feature. In comparison, this likely depreciated the Sanya. After an honorable career, with 30 examples built, the Sanya (see review in Multihulls World #123) has struck her ensign and given way to a successor for this worthy position. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS BUILDER: FOUNTAINE PAJOT OVERALL LENGTH: 55.84ft BEAM: 29.13ft DISPLACEMENT: 51,775.50lb NAVAL ARCHITECT: Berret/Racoupeau MAINSAIL: 1,097.92ft2 GENOA: 721.18ft2 GENNAKER: 1,829.86ft2 CABINS: 6 ENGINES: 2X75 FRESH WATER TANK: 1,050 L FUEL TANK: 1,100 L Log on to our website to discover over 500 multihulls tests! Paul and Sheryl sail into the historic harbour of Mahon, on the island of Menorca, said by the British Admiral Nelson to be the safest harbour in the Mediterranean. They moor at a unique floating platform called Isla Clementina anchored in the middle of the harbour where they are welcomed into a community of international cruising sailors. The Shards crawl through ancient natural tunnels in the cliffs to visit Neolithic cave-dwellings, Megalithic tombs and later explore sites where an unidentified culture has built huge standing stones and towers.

First boat tour kids! We're going to set foot on different boats to help you find yours. This beauty is our buddy, Kevin's, boat and not only did he give us a tour but also some great advice for those who may be boat-shopping. Thank you again Kevin for taking the time to show off your exquisite 1982 Pearson 36 Cutter.

My buddy Bill Wells asked if I would go to the top of the mast to try and fix or to retrieve the masthead wind vane as the display had stopped working or worked intermittently during our last race. Onboard Bill's S/V Wahzoo (1985 Santana 30/30) our other friend Neil Fletcher is on hand to assist before we head out for a daysail on his yacht. We might want to file this under "Slow TV" but I really enjoy watching these sorts of videos that others have made so I thought I would put it up. Its also a good way to see the top of a mast and such without having to be hauled up 40+ feet in the air. https://www.instagram.com/all_ways_but_still - http://allwaysbutstill.tumblr.com

A day sail onboard S/V Anduril with light winds and temperatures in the 70's we were greeted by a few pods of a Pacific White Sided Dolphins. Anduril is a 1969 Islander Excalibur 26 designed by William Crealock. This was my first time aboard Anduril and I am a huge fan of classic plastic so I was stoked. Its always cool to see the details unique to each boat. The skipper is my friend Neil Fletcher who recently purchased a beautiful 1966 Allied Seabreeze 35 named Arcturus that he will be sailing throughout the Stockholm archipelago this summer and further a field in the coming years. Make sure and follow his blog to read about his travels and to find out more about Arcturus https://theneilfletcher.wordpress.com/?blogsub=confirming#subscribe-blog you should also follow his Vimeo page: https://vimeo.com/user24587816

We sail from Los Roques to Bonaire, stopping at a tiny bunch of islands called Aves. I’ve never seen so many birds in my whole life! We get salty for a few days and checkout some of Bonaires many dive sites that it has to offer. We throw on some scuba gear and go and checkout the wreck of the 'Hilma Hooker'. She lies in approximately 100 feet (30 m) of water and at 240 feet in length and is quite a site to see! A huge thank you to Alejandro, Tama and Jimmy for being legends and showing us a great time in Bonaire. Today’s Australian 18 Footer League’s President’s Trophy race was the final hit out for all teams prior to the start next Saturday of the 2016 JJ Giltinan 18ft Skiff Championship on Sydney Harbour and it also solved a problem for the Lumix team which was in need of a skipper for the regatta.
